Super 7 Ultimates Thread

BBTS did put up Wave 3 of GI Joe Ultimate's today on their Sales Page for the Daily deal. $88 for the entire Wave. So, if you got Wave 1 and 2 on sale, here's 3.

Thundertank is one of today's Daily Deals at BBTS. Down to $349

What a steal, he said sarcastically about a 150 dollar toy.

Oh boy, look who finally made a return to the Robo/Veebs podcast:

Man it was a bit painful watching this interview. Not trying to address the elephant in the room (Brian not being CEO anymore) and Veebs being a bit too positive (never thought I would say that) it came across as a bit fake. Maybe that is just me though because I have fallen off of Robo and Veebs. I don't subscribe anymore to Robo's channel and I can't remember the last time I saw Veebs in a video. Nothing against them, I just didn't feel like they were as relevant to my current viewing/following habits. Also the way Brian was speaking about certain things that is seems like he now has to answer to others before making statements/reveals about product.

Anyway the biggest take away for me was that it seems like they have started to put Brian's way of doing things out to pasture. It seems that they are now going to be doing limited time preorders/in stock ordering. Meaning they are going to be making the product ahead of time and will be putting it up for order either a little ahead of when they will be shipping, or when it is in stock to ship. Brian said that is what they started to do with the Amazon Thunder Tank. It will have a very short turn around from preorder. Silverhawks wave 7 will apparently go live in January and it will basically be in stock when it does. They will have a reveal before that of course, but buying it should be fairly instant.

So I guess the new CEO, or others, have decided to stop the year(s) long turn around from preorder to delivery. Also it may not be for everything going forward (for now). Still it will probably be a bit of a gamble for Super7 and the new CEO because it isn't like they are producing a lot super popular lines that can withstand a wave or two that is over produced/under ordered.

He definitely does. Gone are the days when you're going to hear any off-the-cuff info about upcoming items or plans. He says what he's told he can say.

I just flipped though it, so I could have missed something, but it seemed like a nothingburger of an interview. Even moreso than the usual with Brian. It'll be interesting to see how S7 tries to recover from Brian utterly cratering Super7's reputation with collectors. I'm not sure 'fire everyone except Brian and don't make any announcements about our most popular lines' was exactly THE way to go, but we'll see.

I wouldn't mind a few more Silverhawks villains but I'm pretty much done with Thundercats. The only other thing I need from Super 7 is completion of the other 4 kids, Venger, and Dungeon Master from D&D.

Well there are still multiple Hawks and a few villains I need in my Silverhawks collectio , so I hope we get at least one more wave.

And I really want at least two waves of the long teased Tiger Sharks

And of course Blackstar.. gimme, gimme

And if they could get access to Space Ghost, Mighty Might-or and the Herculoids I'd be happy

There are a lot of Ultimates figures they can still sell me... so I stay hoping

I had the interview on in the background. And, yeah, it was a lot of nothing. Not even much of the usual b/s we get from Brian, just little bits. Like him blaming the preorder model on poor sales and customer behavior like it's some new, mysterious, thing people aren't interested in preordering his products. It's because the products have been turning out like crap and they're too expensive. They basically have to pivot to in-stock or nearly in-stock sales if they want to stay in business. I also thought it was weird they didn't mention it was the first of these things in the past 6 months. They made this thing about it not being recorded on a Friday like it was the first one they'd ever missed. Just a weird vibe all together.

Yep.

Also I was just thinking about how little news there was. The only things they talked about that are coming soon, or new, were those stupid Funko Pop copycats (Fun Fun) and Silverhawks wave 7. Nothing else, that I recall, was mentioned as coming down the pipes. Not a good sign, but I guess if they are switching to less and less preorders and more and more in stock sales then there probably won't be much to talk about until product is ready to sell.
