Super 7 Ultimates Thread

Silverhawks Buzzsaw can kinda work as just some robot villain for other lines. I have the yellow version. I'll probably get the green one too if it ever goes on sale. I don't mind having two killer robots with buzzsaws on them.

Speaking of Silverhawks. I'm still turned off on Super7 making Steelheart and Steelwill blue instead of grey. It's like they tried to blend animation and toy looks and ended up not being true to either. Which is doubly odd, since they made metallic toy versions as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the vac-metal versions. Did they ever finish the team in that form or are there a bunch of mad collectors with half a crew of shinies?

I think two more vac-metal 'hawks just came out. The only one not to get the vac-metal treatment is Copper Kid. The vac metal stuff doesn't appear to be selling all that well so who knows if more will come? Then again, I thought they were done with G.I. Joe Ultimates, but then more was just unveiled (albeit, mostly reused molds).

Word is that Metallic Copper Kid is going to be announced at SDCC.

At that point we would only have Hot Wing left as team members with a regular figure but no vac metal version.

But there are still multiple secondary 'Hawks we still need and I would much rather get those than metallic versions of the existing team.

Hotwing and Stargazer also didn't get vac-metal treatment.

I don't think Stargazer would work with Vac Metal... it would only be 30% of his head and his neckline under the shirt and his left hand and forearm. It doesn't seem like that would be worth redoing for vac metal and certainly not worth paying significantly more for.

But would you want them at $65US? Because that seems to be the new price point going forward.

Do the Vac Metal Silverhawk's do ok as far as the vac metal goes? I mean, does it really flake off/fall off or anything, or does it seem to stay on pretty well?

I haven't had any issues with mine thus far - the vac metal has held up fine, though I'm not putting them through super dynamic pose changes. I have mine displayed with masks on, winged arms up in flight stands behind the non Vac Metal team line up.

Cool. Yeah, I wasn't going to be moving mine around or doing dynamic posing. I'd probably display them exactly how you just said you have yours displayed. But I would probably rather buy the vac metal toy versions if I'm going to get any.

I finally bought two of the Vac Metal Silverhawks. I hadn't realized that Quicksilver and Steelheart in the vac metal style were on sale during Prime Days. But I happened to see them before the sales were done and bought both.

I think Quicksilver was $54 and Steelheart was $45
