Yeah I don’t trust vac metal finishes. I remember owning a couple of the Toy Biz Silver Surfer figures from back in the late 90’s and the damn finish peeled off those as if it was condensation on a glass of ice water. Would not repeat. Also Vac metal is slightly toxic so I hope you washed your hands thoroughly after that incident

Yeah, I'm too germophobic to touch anything, let alone sensitive parts of me (EYES & MOUTH, PERVERTS!! 😅), plus I didn't want to spread more of the color onto other things, let alone the figures themselves.

2003 is probably my favourite TMNT show, I was desperate for NECA to do these. But even as a die hard fan, biker Raph and the cycle was not something I was asking for. Especially as Super 7 are slow at their best and right now the line and company both seem to be on life support so a variant and a vehicle are most definitely not a priority.

Switch out the bike and Raph for Karai and Baxter. At least that would cover the major heroes and early season Foot related villains.
 
I had to stop watching Dan do reviews for two reasons; 1) He just seemed so full of shit. Him and ToyBro - just absolutely glazing for every free item that comes in the mail, and 2) his fucking incessant use of the word 'there.' Go watch a bunch of his older reviews in a row and tell me that, now that I've pointed it out, it doesn't make you want to eat a fucking bullet.
 
I've noticed Dan seems more honest the past few years, maybe because he doesn't get a lot of free stuff? Or there's some level of fatigue setting in. I don't know if Toy Bro even does reviews anymore. YouTube never recommends them to me. All of these guys though, I can't watch multiple reviews in a row as their ticks and limited vocabulary really stand out and will drive me nuts. Some of it is schtick and some of it is probably just habit.
 
Dude, I used to do reviews and such and stopped a few years back because I began to notice my own verbal tics and repeated word usage while editing-- and I was driving myself nuts.

The way I smack my lips at the beginning of each sentence. ARGH.

Well, and the other thing about it too is that, you know, I do my best to be as authentic and myself as much as possible. But being on camera and being so are a near impossibility. You just can't help, unless you are a Julliard trained actor, but to come across as fake. And I can hear it in my own videos. And if I can hear it, I know others can hear it.

And I think that's a large part of Dan's problem. I've met him off camera. He is a nice enough guy--but he doesn't talk like that. That over the top, almost Ms. Rachel type of way of speaking in his videos that just seems forced and fake and unnatural and used car salesman-y. It drives people nuts, but I know he likely genuinely can't help it. It's like the moment that camera turns on, you forget who you are.

That said, if you can't recognize that in yourself and be willing to change that aspect of who you are on camera, I haven't the time for you. Say what you will about Anthony's Customs, and the miserable prick that he is--but at least he's a true to himself miserable prick.
 
I stopped watching ToyBro because his craggly thumb fingernails were starting to creep up over the tips of his thumbs.

I can take Dan in small doses, but I don't like the obviously scripted segments, because he's not a very good actor & just comes off as inauthentic.

That, and his nostalgia goggles are so firmly glued in place, he can't accept any kind of deviation from what was first done in the Eighties on most properties, and he especially hates anything that dares cross over with his precious MotU.
 
Dan definitely has a preference for vintage stuff. That’s probably why he gets along so well with Flynn.
