YouTuber ToyShiz actually asked the Mattel team about Street Sharks at SDCC. The Mattel team member said it's on hold for right now but would pick up again soon and that there are more figures to come.

Maybe they're working on the materials? I've heard some people are struggling with their sharks already suffering some deterioration.

When I started my current ad agency job last February, the copywriter on the team had done a ton of work for Mattel back in the 90s and apparently he named most of the ancillary Street Sharks characters. He said his nickname at Mattel was Namin' Klayman. He retired a couple months after I joined or I would've bugged him for more Mattel stories.
