Storm Collectibles

Came here to post it. He looks fantastic. One of the best things about Jada kicking so much ass with Street Fighter is it's creating some nice competition. Without them, I don't think we're getting this Storm line at this scale and price:

This is their new true 1:12 Storm Arena line. D-Amazing has a comparison in his video with a Storm Zangief from their other line, though that's obviously going to be on the extreme end.

The Storm Arena figures are also a third of their normal retail price. Ken is available at BBTS for $27. It's great news for 1/12 collectors.

I suspect those prices to be of the luring in type and for future figures of that scale to creep up - if they weren't that price most people wouldn't buy them when the Jada figures are comporable and have more than half of the line done already.

It's probably an aggressive entry price. And for characters that can share parts, I think it will stay in that general area for awhile. As they get to the bigger guys though we'll see an uptick just like we are seeing with Jada now. They can only raise the prices so much though since they've already told us this is a viable price point so maybe expect $35 for some of the big boys, but they'd tank the line if they turned around and started offering figures for $50 or something.

I don't love the look of that hinge they stuck in his lower abdomen, but otherwise he looks good. The Tiger Raid effect is a bit of a surprise in place of a fireball, but it's also unique. I'm not huge into Street Fighter so I'm not planning on picking him up either way. The price is about what I expected though.

Got hold of Ken and yeah, I like him a lot!

Does anyone with the new Storm Arena figures own any Jada stuff? I'm curious as to how they compare.
