Star Wars TVC Discussion

They must have got in a huge shipment in the dock along with those cantinas. I see lots of people reporting getting items.
I got my Imperial Mando Armored Commando in a separate shipment from Deep Discount. I still have a few figures missing that I assume will come in separate boxes.

Yeah, I got a bunch of processing soon emails from Pulse the other day with a bunch of TVC and BS items. I find it incredibly pathetic they can’t even get their estimated shipping dates close to right on those. Some of those figures had July dates as their estimate and some dates that already past in August. I think only one had a September date. Kinda useless update without accurate info but it’s better than nothing I guess.

Got my Starspeeder 1000 from the Disney Store today from my preorder back on May the 4th. It’s really nice. Not really a TVC item but it’s practically a Haslab. Ironically, my Cantina is scheduled for delivery tomorrow so it’s been quite a week for 3 3/4” Star Wars items.

Super envious of everyone that was able to get either version of the Starspeeder, I wasn't online either time they were available to preorder. It looks so well done!

After receiving the Cantina, I realize it needs a Ubrikkian 9000 Z001 Landspeeder outside.

It’s really unfortunate they made them so limited. I get they don’t want a bunch of $300 items clogging up the theme parks, but they clearly saw the demand with the first version. I was hoping the new one would be more open ended. I’m really impressed with it given the droid factory figures are a step below TVC. The 3PO that comes with the set isn’t the greatest but I think most of us have a spare 3PO or 20 so it’s not a big deal on an otherwise really well done set.

The Cantina just arrived and it’s practically a Lego set with as many pieces as it’s in o_O Going to be a bit before I’m ready for that. The figures look great though I can’t make myself open them up, even as an opener.

Is the new Starspeeder 1000 - different than the release from 15 years ago?

EDIT - Never mind, I see this version is bigger and based on the 3000 model from D23. I am fine with my old one I think.

Surprise! My Deluxe Cantina was waiting on the staircase outside my apartment when I got home - precarious! I only got an email three hours before that it had shipped - no notice whatsoever for delivery. I had to sign for the regular but I didn't have to sign for the more expensive delivery? I'm guessing my driver didn't want to haul this gigantic thing back to the truck just to have to bring it back, which is fine, but interesting.

I'm debating even opening this one or just selling it - I'm so unimpressed with the regular.

Given the size and cost of this item, it really is pretty poor on Hasbro's part that they aren't better about sending the shipping notice and the tracking.

The only thing I am wondering is whether Hasbro is sending full trucks to FedEx distribution centers, so these are not entering the FedEx system until they are close to delivery. It is also possible FedEx didn't want to hold onto these if people tied to reschedule...

Was the Starspeeder 1000 $300? I'm been looking on ebay, looks like people are reselling for around $500.

It was actually $350 + tax. With all the crazy eBay fees they probably aren’t doing much better than breaking close to even at $500.

Ok, that makes me feel a bit better. Now I just need to find a month where I'm not going to get hit with a bunch of preorders coming due.

Let me know if you find that month before the end of the year because I'm in the same boat. I thought things would die down but September is continuing the over spend trend. Hopefully October will finally give me a break.

I was thinking October as well, but I think the Marvel Legends X-Men '97 made to order Sentinel is supposed to charge/ship then. Sigh.

I think I saw that the Sentinel is pushed back to December now, which would be wonderful for me to not have to cough up that money before then.

Yes, just got the email on that today! October looks like a go for Starspeeder, depending on how September goes.
