Star Wars Black Series

Yeah, Barriss, The Jedi Temple Guard, and the Mace/Supreme Chancellor 2 Pack are definitely the things on the pipeline/leaked list I am most excited about.

I'm going to get like 3 or 4 of those Temple Guards.

I got Rex from the Ahsoka show today. A very nice-looking figure. Hasbro really seems to be crushing it lately. Just with character selection and how good each figure turns out. I'm so glad they re-signed with Disney Lucasfilm.
 
Yeah, I haven't been getting heavily inundated with Black Series stuff lately but what has been arriving has been fricken gorgeous. I'm glad they're continuing with Hasbro. I'm immensely happy with this line.
 
Yeah hasbro's really doing some good work here. They've improved engineering, sculpts and faces so much in honestly quite a short time, and the results show it. Farmboy Luke can do some poses some sh figuarts Jedis can't. That's insane at this price point. Better plastics, better faceprint applications, better joints. The SW team is really giving it their all at last. I knew hasbro could improve and we're finally seeing it. It makes me excited for the future of the line, specially the hopefully soon to come ROTS Obi Wan and Anakin.
 
Okay, I just cracked open Luminara and Shaak-Ti and seriously, Hasbro has never been this good at soft goods. They might not be import quality but for figures under 30 bucks? They're gorgeous. the cloth hangs just right, the colors pop, they have really smooth ROM, the face sculpts are beautiful... These are fantastic figures. My only complaint is we have to wait for Luminara's apprentice!
 
Shaak Tis skirt likes to fray at the ends. At least mine did, alot. So I cut off all the loose strings and now it looks alot better. But just a heads up.
 
It's nice to hear Barriss is supposedly coming, but I wonder which version they'll go with- her Jedi look, fallen Jedi look, or Inquisitor look. I'd probably prefer the Jedi look, just so she can join Luminara, and maybe they can throw in a red lightsaber too.
 
Speaking of alt looks - would anyone want a Black Series Vader with NO soft goods?

I just realized this desire is probably why I have two of the Centerpiece Vaders on my shelves.

And I want Kleya in her red look from S1 when she met Vel. Wow.
 
I mean... I really dislike most soft goods on figures, so maybe. I've got three Vaders right now (Obi-Wan, ANH, and ESB) so I would prefer to not buy more, but if anything were to motivate me to do so, that would be it.
 
Of all the older soft goods characters, Vader's was the one I found least problematic so I don't NEED a non-soft goods version, but I could see them doing that given how good they handled the Luke and Leia updates.
 
Actually, yeah, same. I have the Emperor on his throne and his isn't so bad either. I sold my ANH Leia, partly out of fear she'd get stained or something heh.
 
Yeah, Leia' sort of in a white tube and Luke was always falling out of his shirt so I like the plastic upgrades, but then again, an Old Ben with more leg ROM, soft goods or modern plastic, would be a huge upgrade for me. The one thing I hate most in this line is long robes that limit posing. (As opposed, to say, Ventress, who can get into almost any post in her skirts.)
 
Regarding Vader, I suppose it would depend on how it looked. I guess I could test out TROS Kylo's cape on Vader for a ballpark estimate, but between him and Krennic, I don't really care much for the solid, almost wrap-around capes. I suppose it's more appropriate for Krennic, who doesn't really move around as much, but it felt too restrictive for Kylo. I think if anything, a compromise with a bendy wire cape would be the best. Have we gotten any bendy wire capes in Black Series yet? I can't honestly remember.
