Star Wars Black Series

That sucks about Kit's peg hole (that sounded slightly bad. And it was Fisto to. it sounds like your Fisto's peg hole was fisted.........I'll stop now.) But hopefully it's acceptable to you for your collection. Sounds like Artoo was great. Peg hole and all. You gotta get up pretty early in the morning to fist that little droids peg hole.

I just got my Target Range Trooper in the mail. I didn't know it was coming today. And it looks like the Jedha Patrol Stormtrooper will be here in the next day or so. I think that will be my 3rd Jedha Patrol Trooper. But it is a great figure.

Rookie question here. I got my WalMart R2D2 yesterday and I can't figure out if the central leg is supposed to lower or not. Any advice?

Ugh, that stinks.

Saturday I saw a Fedex truck go by my side-road through the kitchen. 5 minutes later I get a delivery text from Pulse for the Ronin and R5D56. I look out front and nothing there. Look in the mailbox. Nothing. Pull up their website and the house pictured in the delivery sure isn't mine. I call immediately and let them know, while also driving up and down that road looking for the house in the picture. Nothing so I start down my road and I see my neighbor with a big package walking to my house. Yep, it was it. Thankfully he was honest about it.
I’ve had this happen to me multiple times over the years with FedEx and they straight up don’t care. They take no responsibility for ensuring the package is delivered to the correct location. Thankfully, in each case a neighbor brought the package to me or I found the house it was delivered to.

It should lower. I don't know though, as I don't have that exact R2-D2. But the others lower. You just grab it and pull it down on the more recent R2's. And even though this R2 has the rockets on the sides, I think overall he is still the same R2 as the ROTJ or even Mandalorian R2.

So, it should pull down.

Gazing lovingly at the new Hot Toys RotS Sheev and wishing Hasbro or Bandai would do a 1:12 version.
Made me look up Sheev.

I really, really want them to make Dr. Aphra to go with Triple Zero and BT-1.

How does the new Kit compare to the old Kit? Complete reissue?

Got test pilot Cassian today. Every one of his figures is a really fun figure to pose, but I feel like they just can't quite get his likeness right. There's a softeness to the plastic on this one too that reminds me a bit of the Selfie Series material but not too badly. I like him, but I still think the two-pack version of Andor is my favorite.

I'm pretty sure the Kit Fisto is just an exact, straight reissue. Just like Count Dooku.

I definitely want to get one of the Cassian TIE Pilot figures. I just haven't picked it up yet. But it looks really cool. I did see it at Game Stop though, and I agree. The likeness isn't as good as I'd hope, or as good as all the other figures they are letting out right now.

It almost reminded me of a likeness before they started using the real scan technology. It was just something about the paint on the face, as well as the size and look of the eyes. Still, pop that helmet on him, and you've got yourself a TIE Test Pilot :)

Also, thanks for mentioning that, Ru1977. I definitely want to get that Krennic tomorrow.

It’s definitely pretty difficult to get out. I think I had to take something and literally pry it out.

Thanks. I'm going to have to see someone else do it first. I feel like I'm going to snap something off.

I wonder if Diego Luna is one of those likenesses that's, for whatever reason, just hard to nail. Maybe it's the facial hair? Characters with bushier beards like Red Guardian or Obi Wan seem to be easier to nail (though I'd argue that Obi Wan didn't really start getting good likenesses until the OG Clone Wars Clone Commander one, and then took a step back before getting good again with the Kenobi series figures).

Viggo Mortensen is one of those tough likenesses too, apparently, and now that I think about it, Black Series seems to have a bit more of those difficult likenesses than Marvel Legends, which seem to be getting much stronger. Black Series is certainly getting stronger as well, but I digress; Luke and Poe strike me as figures that aren't quite there likeness-wise. Obviously Luke has gotten a lot more figures than Poe (whose figures pre-date the current face scanning tech, I think), and I will say that I think the most recent ANH Luke is pretty darn close. The various Anakin offerings as well- both Jake and Hayden- getting closer and better, but not quite there yet in my opinion. Hopefully that'll change if/when they show off the ROTS Anakin redo.

Pry it out with a small flathead screwdriver. I can usually pull it down without that, but it's MUCH easier to get down with a screwdriver. It hasn't seemed particularly fragile when I've done it on any of the droids who have this middle leg including R2, R5-D4, or Chopper.

I'll echo EC's advice, Fletch. For whatever reason, I've had trouble with a couple of my astromechs too, but I use a butter knife to kinda push down the leg out just enough to then grab with my fingers. I think one time, before I figured out using the knife, I flipped the legs up and dipped the bottom into hot water and wiggled it out, but since that softens the plastic, gotta be extra careful. But that was, admittedly, overkill anyway. You got this!

Finally got around to opening my Ahsoka Captain Rex, and one of his elbow pads seems to have been assembled wrong- it's at a 90 degree angle, give or take, so that when the arm itself is facing forward, the elbow pad is on the right side of his arm. The elbow does still bend, but not without catching on the pad almost immediately; feels like it'll break if I push too much. Tried seeing if I could wiggle it into place, but it doesn't seem to move; can't tell if it's glued on or what. Any tips for folks like me with near-zero skills on fixing it? Can you even take these figures apart at the elbow without potentially damaging anything? It's a small enough issue that it feels silly to just exchange it, but I will if I have to.
