Star Wars Black Series

Ru can probably answer this for me, but isn't the helmet on this Sandtrooper wrong? The first BS Sandtrooper helmet looks correct to me, but this one just looks like a regular Stormtrooper helmet. I mean, only nerds like us will even notice, but still...it bugs me. I'm glad I hung on to my original one, as I'll have him front and center in my display. I may get this guy as well, but I think it will mainly be to fill out the scene.

KYLE! Looks FANTASTIC, too.

The new Vader... it's funny, of all the core, classic, all-time great characters from Star Wars, I only have one classic Black Vader. (I do have the weird blue one, the Revenge red, and the what-if white one for some strange reason.) I won't say no to a second black, screen-accurate Vader.

I want that third one. Isn't that what the POTF troopers had early on? I swear I had a slung weapon.
Yeah, it's the least used, yet most iconic, heh. If you have ONE Sandtrooper, that's the weapon you probably want.
The POTF2 Sandttrooper came with a "kinda" version of that blaster.
Haw, exactly!

The first BS Sandie had it too:

Which I kept when I sold all my original Sandies, and gave to the one I'm keeping orange.

Well, wrong in what way? What aspect do you mean?

The Sandtrooper helmet was basically the same (made from the same mold as far as I know) as the Stormtrooper stunt helmet, but the detailing was a little different (even besides the one with the malformed 'brow' line). They ARE different from the 'hero' helmets, which were made specifically for closeups.

This is what Out of the Basement was banging on about, and at the time I did see what they meant, but didn't care, but don't recall. It was something with some little detailing and shapes?

That is correct, specifically the grey shapes under/next to the eyes and on the upper back of the helmet don't have the lines. At this scale, it's barely even noticeable, but they did actually get it right.

Out of the Basement
Fuck, fine, I'll watch it. (EDIT: I skipped through some.... I'm sorry)

He's right that the art has a pouch on one hip that his figure is missing, but the hip pouches are another aspect that varies from specific trooper to specific trooper. AND... it's weird because my figures all have the pouches on both hips, the way God intended. He is right about the art having black dots on the belly and Sandtroopers lacking that. The helmet on the original BS Sandie... I just never liked it. It wasn't as weird as the POTF2 head, but still didn't have the right shape. This one and the latest Stormies aren't totally perfect, but I'm happy at that scale. The backpack IS smaller, and closer to correct, but also sits on his back properly unlike the original.

Ah, okay...if it isn't that noticeable at this scale, then I'm not worried. The lines were what was bugging me, I think. Close up shots often accentuate things like that to make them look "wrong", but I know from experience that when I get a figure in-hand the little things like that don't usually stand out at all.
