I couldn't resist at that price.

You did the right thing. And, you have a kitty! You are just winning the game of life man.

Love reading all of that background about the Sandtroopers! I always loved how they had extra gear, but I wouldn’t have noticed the armor details if they had not been pointed out.

Anyway, the new Black Series Sandtrooper is very cool. Love the Stormtrooper body that Hasbro has been using. And it’s fun to get the new rifle.

Definitely need updated figures of the Scout Trooper and Snowtrooper.

Not Black Series specific aside from the fact that the Ronin is back, but I love seeing Visions has got a Volume 3 coming. And also, while I've been anywhere from enjoying to ADORING the Star Wars output the past few years, the trailer for Visions does a remix of John Williams' score and goddamn, goddamn, goddamn, his work in the original trilogy has never, ever been replicated. Almost 50 years in it's almost easy to take it for granted til you get blindsided by it unexpectedly.

(I do hope they make more Visions figures for Black Series. )

A lot of love for the Scout Trooper. And The Scout Trooper is really cool looking. All the Imperial Troopers look awesome from the Original Trilogy. I don't know which is my favorite though. It's either the Snowtrooper or the AT-AT Pilot.

Those three had a chokehold on my imagination as a kid. All three were just permanent fixtures. When I got into Black Series they were the first Imperials after Vader I went looking for.

I'm still going to hold out hope that we might get another reissue of Jaina solo with the modern face printing. The sculpt was the perfect marriage of features, especially capturing the Harrison Ford hints. But that original paint on both of mine is... I just want it face printed. Even the upgrade between the boxed set Mara and the original Mara was interesting and that was within a close time frame.

Would be a shame to let that head sculpt languish.

I'd love to see her reissued with her brothers. I have lots of issues with the tail end of the old Legends/Expanded Universe but those stories did have some characters who would make great toys.

I suppose it's a risk of spoilers but that series is old and obsolete anyway.

At some point Jaina trained with Boba because he was one of the few Legacy characters who had faced Jedi and lived. And she needed to take down a bad one.

It's so fanfic I love it.

Nice! I remember after ROTJ, I started playing my own plots and Vader did get retired because he was dead, so I had to have new bad guys and only had one Royal Guard so he became the new leader of the Empire, looking for revenge and all that, and Boba did get burped up but ended up switching sides because of course.

I had one of my power of the force sand troopers inherit Luke's blue lightsaber and became a former Imperial who mastered lightsaber combat but otherwise did not really have the force.

But that was enough to galvanize an imperial remnant that I loosely based off of the Dark Horse Dark Empire Comics. He had a whole squad of special Stormtroopers and bounty hunters. And coming hot off of Age of Apocalypse, a post trilogy dystopian playground really spoke to me in that world.

The main characters were all scattered and on the run. The swoop biker guy was also some big bad New bounty Hunter. Bossk joined the heroes. Gave me an excuse to bring Dash in and come up with new stories. And the way I used to play with my action figures I would long form this stuff for weeks.

Even in middle school I would just sit at my desk and I was basically writing fanfic. I wasn't even really playing with the toys, it was just having something I could pose and then come up with dialogue and monologues for.

Decades later, Marvel Comics, there is a Stormtrooper who has Luke's old lightsaber and he wears one of the Sand trooper pauldrons and he leads the unconventional special forces. Huh. Huh.

I would have caved if I stumbled on that. As of now, I'm trying to limit any clones to those with high ranks/names. I got Galle and Cody, and Gree, though he's in the Clone Wars look from the 2pk with Yoda. I want to stick with just RotS versions. Who was Anakin's legion clone commander?

What makes the OT imperial troopers look great is that they are filled by human beings. There's something you get that CGI hasn't gotten right, at least not at the time of the Prequel releases. Physical costumes, sets, practical effects. THAT was the magic of Star Wars for me.
