Star Wars Black Series

I've always loved all the different OT Stormtrooper designs. True story is that I eschewed the actual Star Wars canon in my play for a long time. I had exactly one Stormtrooper and he was a good guy using Luke's lightsaber. He was the 'white knight' and Vader was the 'black knight.' And I used the Sandtrooper a lot as an old, grizzled knight, sometimes using Ben's saber, or the green Luke saber.

Thank you for the history lesson. I wouldn't have a problem with the gun (which invariably arrives bent) but for the shortened handle with the bulb on the pommel like it's meant to be held by a different figure with smaller hands. It seems like an odd choice. At least now I know why they stuck it in with this release now.

Recent pages of this thread got me to look properly at the Snowtrooper for possibly the first time ever. I always had this idea in my head of what they looked like but really, it was just the eye holes and crinkly mask, I never stopped and really looked at the design until tonight, I don't think...

..it kinda looks like shit, like wtf! Like, the whole ensemble just looks so shabby and half-arsed thrown together compared to literally every other Imperial trooper.
 
That's funny. They DO look kinda shabby. It's basically the white version of Veers' costume with goggles, the face covering, and some more armor etc.

Then Dengar used their chest armor with a lot of regular stormtrooper armor. And the AT-AT drivers have the same boots and shoulder armor as the officer, but the regular snow trooper has the shoulder armor upside down. Empire, if I'm not mistaken, was paid by Lucas himself and so a lot of recycling and such. Only eight stormtrooper costumes, Bossk is thrown together from different cantina guys, etc. meanwhile Boba Fett has six suits! Heh. But yeah, the regular snow trooper is my least favorite OT trooper, but I like the officer a little more.
