Star Wars Black Series

I didn't PO the figure because I still just... really don't want a figure on my shelf reminding me of that show. But at the same time, if I were going to break down and get any figure from it, it would be him. Some of the best lightsaber work in the entirety of Star Wars, honestly.
 
I woke up to a notification that I had to approve a delay for the ISB agent from Target and then he shipped ten minutes later. And now I just got a delay on the MagnaGuard from Walmart. Truly a tale of two cities.

I also almost called him the MangaGuard and I feel like that's a very different action figure.
 
I received the upgrades of ANH Chewie and Han yesterday and today respectively. It’s hard to tell what’s new with Chewie without a side by side comparison with an older version. Han is very obvious. He should be called Han Smolder. He’s looking very debonair. He’s certainly an upgrade over the original from the second wave of BS. Was there an Archive of that one with a printed face? This one would still be an upgrade. I really hope they give this treatment to Threepio.
 
I had the SHFiguarts ANH Han and Luke that I bought a long time ago since the early black series versions were so terrible but I still bought the latest Hasbro Han and Luke because they are so good. I got Han in yesterday but haven't opened him yet but a quick glance tells me he is an improvement over the SHF one.
 
My only issue right now with Chewie is that the bow keeps falling off of his bowcaster. Have they seriously not come up with a better design for this after 50 years?
 
I have a feeling I'll be giving him the original Chewie's bowcaster. I long ago glued that piece onto that one, and it has some actual paint apps on it.
 
Chewie's sideways neck hinge is delightful. Gives him a ton of personality.

I got two Hans and one had the eyes slightly bigger/printed slightly lower or higher which helps a lot. I think they are just too small default.
 
I know you have all been waiting with just utter anticipation, but that in stock order I said I made with Hasbro Pulse, where they sent me an e-mail that said the payment failed even though it was a payment method I always used........ all worked out in the end.

I know you all were waiting on the edge of your seats to know the end to this epic tale, and it was a happy ending. And I'm happy to say the order has shipped out. And, I have had pre orders come in since then and my payment method worked for them. So, it must have just been some stupid glitch or issue.

I still hate that Schizm had the same problem and things didn't work out. I did call Hasbro though, and the person I got was very helpful. It sounds like Schizm received no help.

I am glad to hear you got Chewie and Han though Schizm :)

Hopefully, the joy of Chewies sideways neck hinge will make you forget all about your horrible Hasbro experience.
 
Han, Chewie, and the Cal set are all waiting back home for me. Still not back for half a week, but all this positive talk has me quite excited! Sucks to hear the bowcaster hasn't really been improved; of all the Chewies I've had through the years, their bows have all been pretty darn terrible.
