Star Wars Black Series

I love that you can have Q'Mir/The Stranger with and without the mask and with or without that cloak piece. It allows for a couple distinct looks for the character. Which means......I need two!

I watched with sound off but I assume people were excited when they said "high republic" then whined when it was actually Acolyte.

I love that Vader/Luke Bespin set. I don't really NEED the dio piece, but I guess I'll take it to finally get a Vader with a wired cape (still looks like TOO MUCH cape, though) and a new body for Bespin Luke. I'd still like a 'clean' new Bespin Luke at some point. But I'm legitimately excited to display this somewhere in the house. Very cool.

Seems like a lock that they'll do this exact same set eventually for Return of the Jedi, right?

I wonder if they'll release that Luke and Vader from Bespin as single releases? Kind of like they're going to do with Obi Wan and Anakin from the SDCC Exclusive ROTS pack. I love the Bespin figures, but don't need the dio pieces. But I may get the set anyways. I don't need the diorama pieces, but they are cool.

I'm definitely getting 2 Q'Mir's, then Ventress, and Jango Fett. That Anakin and Rex pack looks like too much like figures I already have. So, I'll skip it.

But that Palpatine/Mace 2 pack I WILL HAVE. Might even get 2 of those.

It's funny to me to see people getting so excited for the Mace/Palpy two-pack when that scene is one of my most hated scenes in Star Wars history and even just looking at that set makes me angry.

OMG! I LOVE the office dual between Palpatine and the Jedi, and then his one on one dual with Mace. And I love the end result as tragic as it may be. I hate to even hear that it's one of the most hated scenes in Star Wars history. I'm just over here loving Episode I, II, and II and think they are the most enjoyable Star Wars films.

I forget outside my bubble people hate a lot about all 3 of them lol.

Found some of the new wave at a LCS at only a slight markup, so I got them to support. Merrin, Ezra, and one Death Trooper.

Stranger looks gooooood. Definitely getting 2- one masked and one unmasked. Still haven't gotten around to watching Tales of the Underworld, but that's a really nice looking Asajj. Don't know if I need another Jango, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want a better posable one.

The Mace/Palpy pack looks great, but if/when a single-carded Palpy comes out, I may just wait for that. I really like that they're doing more diorama pieces, though, with Battle of the Heroes and the Bespin Duel. Really makes me all the more excited for those.

Still nervous about being able to get the BotH pack, but Imma try my best. Do we know when it's going up, again?

I'm an odd duck, so don't worry about me.

But yeah, this scene was the culmination of every character in the movie being a complete fucking idiot. Anakin turns to the Dark Side for basically no reason. Some of the more powerful Jedi still in the Core are merc'd with basically no effort by an old man that barely looks like he can move, making silly little swishy motions reminiscent of a small child that accidentally turned on his mom's vibrator. Mace is a dumbass that doesn't do anything right for the entire movie, culminating in him choosing to argue with Anakin while there's a Sith in front of him that murdered all of his friends without any effort at all.... it's just... so.. fucking.. stupid.

And the choreography is terrible.

But I am 100% not telling you that you can't like it.

I wish they could have worked that into one of the opening Crawls

But I totally agree, it is ALL stupid when it comes to the office dual scene. It's just one of those things that's really bad that I can look past. I think it's because I was younger and the Prequels are what got me in to Star Wars. Because I am much harder on some of the foolish choices and writing from things in the Disney Era.

That's understandable. I've spent my life quietly ignoring the many stupid things about the OT specifically because I grew up on it.
