Star Wars Black Series

Glad you are fine (or going to be?), Justice! What an unfortunate but life-affirming rollercoaster? At least you don't resent your toys at the not!-end. I feel like I may go the other way.

You are stepping back into Black Series at a really good time - almost every release this year I've picked up has been really well-executed. Now if the Han wave would just hurry up I could really start fixing my shelves!!

I'm glad you are alright too Justice. I don't know what was going on, but I wish you the absolute best and hope everything goes well going forward.

I'm glad you got back in to Black Series also. There are so many great figures in this line.

Definitely watch Andor. It is incredible, yet so different to any other Star Wars. It's like Star Wars Academy Award level show somehow. So well written and performed. Luthan and Kleya are the best part of the series for me.

Also, watch Ahsoka, but if you haven't seen the cartoon Rebels, understand that some of Ahsoka may seem odd or not make sense. if you've seen Rebels and liked it, you will love Ahsoka. If you haven't seen rebels though, it may not be as great to you as if you had.

Still, whether you've seen Rebels or not, Ahsoka is a fun show.

And Skeleton Crew is a sweet show. Very 80's seeming reminiscent of Goonies or ET. The kids are so innocent and sweet, especially little Neel who is my favorite.

I did watch and loved Rebels so I definitely want to see Ahsoka since judging by the figures I see, a lot of those characters made their live-action debut in that show.

Link to my post in the good news thread about my neurological issues

Thanks for the well wishes from you and everyone else. The condition is subsiding a lot since I got the news it wasn't serious so I think the stress of what it could be was definitely making the situation worse. I'm not really having the weird arm jerks and leg kicks anymore that I was having and the muscle pulsations have dulled so much that I can't tell they are even there unless I stop and look. I'm now thinking it was a side effect of a medicine that I was put on for another issue awhile back. I quit it as soon as I thought that might be a possibility but that was months ago and the weird issues are just now subsiding. The important thing is that it wasn't ALS but I had a lot of the symptoms of the beginnings of that. I'm just thankful that was ruled out (along with anything else serious). I have a follow-up with my neurologist in 2 months but I strongly suspect, with the way things are going, that by then I'll be back to having no symptoms.

I had a very similar scare several years ago with muscle weakness/spasms. Turned out to be caused by stress. Glad you're still kick'n-n-collect'n!

Stress can do some crazy stuff. It could also explain why it has started fading now. My doc put me on Zoloft and I've been on it for about two months now so maybe it is helping with my stress also and stopping those symptoms.

Back on the topic of Star Wars I ended up converting some MOTU figures I wasn't too enthusiastic about in my POL at BBTS to store credit and picking up 4 Star Wars figures from episode II and III (Darth Sidious, Luminara Unduli, Shaak Ti, and Ki-Adi-Mundi).

After my Star Wars inventory I really wanted to bolster the prequel shelves. Also I will never learn Star Wars names outside of the main cast. Ask me in 5 minutes the names of the 4 figures I bought and I will be able to name Sidious and that's it.

Whether or not you can remember their names, those are some really good figures you chose! All the prequel Jedi have been pretty stellar so far, but something about the 3 you mentioned makes them really stand out; I'm hopeful for Barriss coming out soon too. Oh, and he's a deluxe, but Savage Oppress turned out really well too if you're looking for more prequel era rep.

Ok Josh you're gonna have to quit now. I've spent enough 😂

Or have I....

Give in, Justice! You must fill your shelves with glorious plastic!

As someone who has stared into the big, empty sockets of the Grim Reaper himself and somehow escaped that fate, I relate so much to your experience, Justice. It definitely makes you realize what is important in life, and that the time you have now is definitely not to be taken for granted! So glad you are still with us!

I hadn't bought any of the Skeleton Crew figures except Pirate Captain Brutus because he's awesome. But I always thought about getting Jod just because he is Force Sensitive and trained by a Jedi. Well, on Amazon right now he is only like $13

At that price, I had to grab one.

Also, Kelnacca is only $15 on Amazon. $5 cheaper than the $20 I see him for at Wal-Marts. For $15, Kelnacca, a big, $35 deluxe Wookie Jedi is a steal. If you don't have him, I recommend him.

Got dress whites Krennic from Target today. I probably didn't need him, but I kinda of want to set Dedra up on a chair and just have Krennic tapping her in the middle of her head spitefully. Sculpt is great, but for some reason his hand it too open to hold his blaster so it's kind of a pointless accessory, though I doubt he'd be using it much anyway.

When did they switch the Black Series packaging to be a solid rectangle and not have the slanted in side? (I did a horrible job of articulating my thoughts into words there....)

I was just surprised. I bought the new Luke and Leia most recently and don't remember them not having it but I might not have noticed. Half the figures I got in today had them and half did not.
