Star Wars Black Series

Just saw photos of armored Saesee Tiin from Hot Toys and now I really want an armored Saesee Tiin in Black Series.
He does look awesome. It reminds me that someday I hope Hasbro stop being cowards and just do a deluxe Mythos Obi-Wan already. At this point they have almost all the bits.

The final Obi-Wan from the Kenobi wave is close enough to make me happy, but I would preorder a Mythos Obi-Wan so fast my keyboard would start smoking.
It's definitely close, but I'd like an updated slightly younger Guinness head and the backpack to go with it, and perhaps a little rocky outcrop base. Feels like a layup, y'know?

Agreed. And given that it's basically just his head and hands on the old Clone Wars Commander Obi Wan, I'd imagine it would be a hella easy kitbash or re-release on Hasbro's part once they actually give us Saesee Tiin. With any luck, it won't be too long before we see him and Agen Kolar in the line. They feel like the most logical next Jedi to give us.

I couldn't quite make the Kenobi version work. It's super close, but I think the longer hair threw it off a bit. It would be easy for them to do though, just throw in a backpack with a few bits and pieces and maybe two head sculpts (one slightly older Ewan, one slightly younger Alec Guinness).

Scar Squad! The set I was shocked to see they decided to make. Anyone else read the comics? I’m torn. They have badass moments like Bad Batch had. I also understand why they used them sparingly in the comics. Stormtroopers can’t be as effective as they make them, plus they’re the bad guys… I’d like to see Scar Squad match up against the aged Clone Force 99. I guess it’s like those stories we fans want to see like Vader vs. Maul.

I don’t know how many more we get but there are three more. They all three have great looks. Of course Zuke is the first thought of as a big dude. We may be transferring our Wrecker love for him. He doesn’t strike me with much personality. He has big actions/story beats in the books. Shrap is the most unique looking to me. His weaponry is fire. Aero is cool too especially the helmet look. Doubt they do a three pack. Another two pack would be cool.

Thwipp!

I don't know if you guys knew, but just a friendly reminder.

At 1:00 PM EST on May 21, the new Archive Black Series Wave goes up for pre order.

Then, on May 28 at 1:00 PM EST the new Mandalorian and Grogu figures go up for pre order (Vintage Collection figures for the movie do as well to those who collect that line.)

I'm drawing a complete blank on those - were the characters announced already?

Consider me confused as well. I don't doubt you, Camel- I mostly doubt my memory! Who's in each wave, do we know?

My Maul: Shadow Lord figs got moved up to June 23rd on Amazon. Getting a bit better, but I'm afraid Imma need ya to pick up the pace a bit, Amazon, and strike while the saber is hot. GameStop is showing a May 25th release, so I'm hoping it'll be closer to that.

I'd imagine it has the confirmed Embo, since we got a sneak peek of him on the box art. Zeb feels like a likely release too, and I know Rotta has been rumored. Maybe the cover-less Snowtrooper that TVC got. Wonder if they'll be ready to go soon-ish, or if they're not out until later this year.

I balked at the Mando price, but I succumbed today when I picked up Starkiller (who came in last week but they overlooked it in the Supergirl deluge).

They are both quality figures. I'm sticking with Gaming and EU going forward after my purge, but aesthetically, they are everything I want out of SW figs. And Hasbro is really on their A game with both. There was a time where these visors would be hit or miss, but they are pristine.
