Star Wars Black Series

I mean....how can you tell they are male or female in that armor?

That dude's crotch being way more white than the rest of the dirty armor makes sense - we touch that area multiple times a day - but that's all I can see when I see that figure.

Also - how come no female Stormtroopers? Haven't we moved past Clones at this point in the Sacred Timeline? They should be aged out.
What you talking’ about Schizm?

Yeah, there's Phasma, and I know Samantha Alleyne has played a female trooper in a couple Disney-era movies. It was a big point around the time of Phasma, I remember, that the armor all look the same- i.e. no clear "boob armor", if only for aesthetic "nameless, faceless army" purposes.

The Empire / New Order follow the Hasbro business model in getting as much reuse out of a mold as possible, even making the women wear men’s armor. They don’t want to discriminate, after all. They’re a PC kind of evil.

But it is technically accurate, right? Not that anything about Star Wars is realistic, but for the most part throughout history "female armor" was kind of just armor, no? There may have been some stylization to it- more of a curve, or a slight outward bend or point to allow room for the breasts, but a lot of it was just the same as the men's armor, no? Depends on the culture, I suppose- I'm sure such a thing did exist- but it does feel like the "clear cut boob armor" thing is something that, while not necessarily created by horny creators wanting to oogle and ogle, has definitely been played up a bit. Male armor in games is often big and bulky, whereas female armor just so happens to allow room for the male gaze (while also being terribly inefficient at any sort of practical protection).

I guess you could make the argument either way what would be the "PC" approach- to allow room for the female anatomy, or to treat all armor the same. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter to me. Cool armor is cool armor.

I forgot all about Phasma. Literally just wanna take all the toys of TFA and rearrange into a good story.

Speaking of female warriors - a friend recently mispronounced "Milan" as "Mulan" and now it's a running joke that bothers my brain.

Female troopers should just have more slender builds. They don't need more pronounced breast armor, but most warrior women are still more slender then men, at least in SW land. So a slightly smaller frame would work for female stormtroopers, and could help differentiate them a little.

I'm sure he'll be flying off the shelves, that one. But lots of custom potential. What other characters could they potentially give us with that chunkier Imperial body? If they ever do re-use it, that is. Still haven't gotten a Pryce with the Tala body.

So much generic reuse so far! Enough imperials, give me the good stuff! Where are the aliens? Gimme Zeb, gimme Anzellans, gimme Jabba the Bear, gimme Martin Scorcese!

Just realized- is the Imperial Warlord just Thrawn re-use? I don't associate Thrawn with being on the bulkier side, but I forget that live-action Thrawn is. Don't have the figure near me to compare, but looking up a photo, they look similar, at least.
