Star Wars Black Series

If wanting to see Lando again, I’m one of those fans. If wanting to see them work together, I’m one of those fans. If wanting to see more Star Wars kids or progeny from characters in the OT…uhm I guess. If wanting to see hundreds and hundreds of Star Destroyers with fricking Death Star lasers strapped on them, yeah baby, uhm mean no. Not that fan. But that said I want to like these characters enough thanks to many hours playing as them in Battlefront I’d buy new updated figs.

This latest wave has me so stinking jacked to see Rotta. Come on Hasbro don’t let me down. Oh and throw in some of those cool lizard guys, thanks!

I have failed to see any, ANY movies this summer in the theater and I feel like I need to get my ass in a seat to see the Rotta hype. (I picked up Embo because I'm an animation lunatic, I'll get anyone form CW/Rebels and beyond.
 
If you go into Mando & Grogu feeling hype, you'll be setting yourself up for letdown.

Speaking of, anyone seen any good Sigourney customs putting her in normal-wear?
 
I want a definitive Rey with the modern trappings. I liked her. Not her or Daisy's fault the whole circus didn't coordinate.

Iconic lead and I want one. Honestly gross they did jack shit for the anniversary of TFA.

Got my Mamilorian today from Amazon, a Canada Day miracle. I cancelled Maul and no regrets, I didn't realize it was just the other Clone Wars one with a cloak and lesser paint apps.

Might go back for Devon? Working at restraint here, like I can hold out for S2, but if they do her master, then maybe.

Rook at least just fits my armored cool people focus on SW and just happens to look like my old OR bounty hunter.

Now can we go back for Shae Viszla now that we are doing Old Republic things?
 
If they do ever re-release TFA Rey with modern updates, part of me hopes they'll throw in the extra head from her speeder set. I always forget about that one- I never picked it up, but I kinda dig the extra wrapped up head. If, for no other reason than I think it could make for a cool custom character of some sort. I think that figure also got some softgoods in the robes, whereas the normal one had the plastic. I'm still torn on the softgoods vs. plastic debate, but I think some softgoods could work well for Jakku Rey.

Rey's Speeder is the only TBS vehicle I think I have. It's a really cool look, but it doesn't fit on my SW shelf so I also always forget I have it. It's in a completely different room.

I found Rook at Walmart and she looks more like a live-action Sabine than the live-action Sabine - not likeness-wise, but vibes-wise. Although I think her eyes aren't aligned - anyone else have that with Rook?
 
The printing on not!Ackbar's vest is very well-done. And Shaak looks cool like that.

Agreed, these are clever. I bought Wicked!Asajj last year but returned her because I just didn't need her - I made a good choice. :)
 
I'd totally forgotten about the Vampire & Frankenstein 2 pack from a couple years back, but these make me want to go back and grab that. Or the Mummy trooper. I've been slacking on the Halloween releases lately

Can't quite tell if Bride-gruta's head tail things are black and white or a dark blue and white. I'd assume the former, to emulate the Bride's hair, but they look a little blue on my screen. Guess we'll see. Nice to see a Skoova Stev re-work in the line too!

Don't know how yours looks, but I just checked mine. One brow on mine seems to sit a little higher than the other, which gives her kind of an inquisitive look. I can't quite tell if the whole eye sits a little higher or if it's just an optical illusion; seems to not be that way on Alt's above, but maybe it's an angle thing? I dunno.

One brow looks slightly quirked on mine, but not at a sane distance. I got clean paint on every single detail, so I take my win.
 
Every year I say I'm not buying the Halloween or Holiday figures and every year they do something that looks too fun to pass up. That Mon Cal is a HOOT.

I have all kinds of issues with how they handled the story, but Daisy, John, Oscar, everyone made for such a great cast. I keep hoping some day they do an animated show that makes me like the films the way the Clone Wars made me like the prequels.

I'm definitely going to have to grab the Mon Cal figure. The question I will then have...do I put him with my Creature From the Black Lagoon collection, or have him just hanging out with Rebels in the Star Wars display?
