Star Trek

But I don't know. This looks a bit Super7-ish. Not in line with what I was hoping. I know these have been delayed, but I doubt that will fix the awful paint apps.
The detail on the outfit looks pretty impressive though.

If these scale as expected with the Art Asylum/DST versions, then matching that look is perfectly fine by me...

I said something to Brian about the paints and QC not being as hoped, and he directed me to the video below.

I know folks who have used that factory before and they always send out amazing samples but then shortcut in production. Notorious for it. They're ripoff artists and Nacelle was warned about them. Not sure how this will be fixed, but I'll take his word for it. Certainly going to be longer than a month, that's crazy optimistic.

But still, good on him for owning and being willing to course correct.

Welp.

Sigh...I really, really, really was looking forward to these.

That definitely looks a bit rough. I only ordered Sulu and the Genesis Torpedo (with bonus action figure) from Wave One, and I ordered Kirk from Wave 2. I guess if these don't turn out well, I could just have Takei and Shatner forever fighting it out on my shelf and just skip the rest.

Always a pleasure to see Ahsoka giving positive marks in a video, though. That's...well, that's every video he does where he receives product from a company, but always good to see regardless :p

Maybe the figures are mostly OK but it is more a packaging issue - heat could cause some paint or warping issues, or maybe some joints popping, I guess. So it might be a matter of repackaging which wouldn't require a lot of production? Just guessing as I agree, not sure how going back to production could only be a month delay...

Not sure how to post pictures directly, but Ahsoka posted a pic of Weyoun next to a McFarlane DC Multiverse Batman, and he comes up to his shoulder. Might be closer to 6 inch than we think...

I never want anyone to say that about my output.
I don’t have an output, but I’d be pissed if some gonk said that about my input. My input is preem, choom.

Hopefully they get the paint issues sorted. Honestly I feel like almost every line I collect has either had qc issues or decoed to cut corners this last year. It’s really disappointing. I’m not the biggest star trek fan, but those who are deserve a line like this to go for a long time.

Asoka the Geek? I checked Facebook and Instagram and I don't see it, just the initial video he did. Do you have a link?

I know we discussed this earlier, but I *knew* he said originally he was looking for it to scale with Star Wars Black...

Anyone know how tall that particular Batman figure is? McFarlane is all over the place with scale… Based on Jeffry Combs height, the Weyoun figure should be 6.7 inches tall.

That particular Batman figure is really tall though. Don't know the exact height, but all the figures on that body tower over most of the other figures in the line.
