I guess, and I don't mean this as a slight to anyone else, my standards and expectations are a little bit higher.
These look like they'd fit fine in the DST Trek line--from 2005.
These are not 2026 figures. Not in terms of sculpts, paint applications, articulation.
The likenesses are somewhat there, sure, but by no means are they good to great. They're very soft. And I don't necessarily blame that on the sculpts, but the paint is so heavy handed and caked on that you lose something, for sure. Look at the eyebrows, for example.
The face and neck disparity is another thing. Like, that is very noticeable.
Not to mention that those joint cuts are horrible. There are ways they could have added those arm swivels without putting them smack dab in the middle of the bicep. That's certainly not what the renders showed. And the triangular shaped necks to fit the bobbleheads (especially on Archer) shows the lack of foreplanning to integrate the articulation and maintain the sculpts.
These are the things that should have been caught if they had someone monitoring the progress over at the factory level. But they don't.
By the way, he just announced that The Expanse figures have been pushed back, so...clearly we have issues with that factory and live action properties over at Nacelle.
Regardless, I'm willing to be proven wrong. I hope I am. I hope they're just shitty pictures. Again, that's why I say that from what I can see. I had higher hopes. These don't meet them.
