They no doubt never shipped to any B&M retailers before pulling the line for tweaking the heads.
I seem to recall they they responded to a question on instagram a while back saying that these figure mostly likely not get a brick and mortar release, at least not for the big box retailers like Target or WalMart.Has anyone seen the Nacelle figures in a brick & mortar store yet? I remember that being mentioned back when they announced the line. Felt optimistic about the possibility, as I've seen some of their other stuff actually show up in a local Walmart, but I haven't seen any evidence of their Star Trek figures being sold in a physical store yet.
I think this will be a great real world experiment to test all the fanboys out there that claim lines would do well to not keep doing the same characters over and over again.Decent interview with Brian -
Some key things -
Initial pitch was to make new characters and core characters in different outfits. Goal is to fill in gaps and expand collections.
Full bridge will be at Comic Con in San Diego, maybe not fully painted.
Wave 2 is outselling Wave 1 so far
Wave 3 will go on preorder later this year, Wave 4 early 2027
Wanted to be aggressive about announcing figure plans because of collector feedback about not wanting to start a new line and have it stop or just be the same characters over and over. So realize it is unusual to announce four waves before figures were in hand but was a strategy with Paramount's blessing.
Appreciated support of the community over Wave 1 issues. Felt not a whole lot of cancelations based in discussions with Amazon, EE and BBTS.
May need to have a slight increase in price for Waves 3 and 4.
According to Trek Central, waves 5, 6 and 7 are in development.
