Snow C.A.T. Live!

Snow C.A.T.

7,751 / 8,000 (+53) 96.89% of funding goal with 9d 19h left.

Getting closer, now let's see if it drops below 7,700 backers after the daily drop around 6am.

6am Update:

Snow C.A.T. 7,712 (dropped 39)

LAAT/i Gunship 2,955 (dropped 13)

So the trend continues, and I am going to go with the assumption that was put forward elsewhere that they are now not counting the loss of backers in live time and just putting them in at 6am EST every day instead.

At least, as I had hoped, the Snow C.A.T. has stayed above 7,700 backers after the drop. So safe to say less than 300 backers away from funding.

7,780 so we are now up 29 from before this morning’s drop. I am really hoping this thing is officially funded before Friday. I am still holding onto hope that we get all the tiers unlocked but it needs to start picking up some momentum.

Also, where the heck is Hasbro?!?! You would think they would do something to advertise or try to drum up support. They obviously spent some money on the design of this thing and for the promo video. You would think that they had sunk enough money into this project already to at least warrant some amount of push to get this funded on their part.

With the consistent number of backers dropping out each day (approx. 40), I'm seriously beginning to suspect someone with wayyyy too much time on their hands, is placing orders, then cancelling for "fun". Possibly under multiple accounts. Not all of the cancellations mind you, but a considerable percentage. Clearly Hasbro is posting the cancellations under one big drop at the same time each morning, but those sum totals are suspiciously similar. Or I'm just being paranoid. I dunno.

I’ve had the same thoughts during other Haslab campaigns and really Hasbro checks out for the most part. They launch it and walk away aside from a couple of emails or posts on social. That’s about it. If it’s looking like it will hit minimum funding, they are happy. If it falls short they may do a Hail Mary, but they’ve been hit (Skystriker) and miss (Rancor) on their success with them. I don’t expect much else out of them at this stage, sadly.

I think you hit the nail on the head but in the opposite direction; they've sunk enough money into this already and will not put any more money into it, including paying people to think up ways to get people more interested. Hell, I don't think the people in charge at Hasbro are even CAPABLE of thinking beyond 'we made an amazing product and the only reason people aren't buying it is because they're all cheap losers.' Every toy company blames the customers when their shit doesn't sell. Every time.

I think everyone is gonna have to accept it funds but that’s all this time. Some will bail when it’s apparent the stretch goals aren’t happening this time round and so it’s the least value Joelab to date but it should still make it I think. Just.

Snow C.A.T.

7,836 / 8,000 (+85) 97.95% of funding goal with 8d 18h left.

164 backers to go to fund the Snow C.A.T. with a little over a week left is great. Let's hope this gets funded by the weekend because that will leave a lot of time for the FOMO crowd to get in and push this to unlock some (or all) tiers.

Anyway see you all in about an hour for the 6am EST backer drop.

Backer loss update:

Snow C.A.T. - 7,762 (-74)

LAAT/i Gunship - 2,987 (-11)

A little concerning that the number of backers lost on the Snow C.A.T. is so high (highest yet?). But at least it should go up from there for the rest of the day and as long as it gets back up above 7,836 before tomorrows drop it should still be moving forward.

The LAAT is slowing down and I think it could get to negative backing if it keeps this trend going. At the least it will probably see single digit backing soon.

Well that was a painful drop. I am curious how many of the adds and drops are the same people waffling back and forth versus brand new backers and people that drop with no intention of coming back and backing it.

Snow C.A.T.

7,866 / 8,000 (+30) 98.33% of funding goal with 7d 19h left.

A little over a week to go and the Snow C.A.T. is still just crawling along. However it is so close. Hopefully this can get across the finish line by the end of the weekend.

Let's see what the backer drop is like at 6am.

What's the reasoning behind not allowing BBTS or EE unlimited buys. What downside am I missing if the retailers agree not to start their preorders until after the Pulse sale ends? How many would they buy? Would it even matter? I'm having doubts about Tier 1.

With how expensive it is I don’t think BBTs or EE would be getting too many. With they way it’s set up they would be paying full price for it so anyone buying it from them would be paying a markup which would make me think they wouldn’t put it up for order until after the HasLab closes if they order any.

I still think we will get to tier 1 but I think tier 2 & 3 are in jeopardy. If it can fund and we see an influx of backers that pushes this to tier 1 by the end of Friday (a pay day for a lot of people) then I will be a lot more optimistic on tier 2 and 3 happening.

I want my arctic Lady Jaye! And Flint.
