Skurge the Executioner BAF Wave

It was his medicated rants the first couple days after they debuted Warbow. It was like 4-5 posts in a row complaining about it. It was so silly, but it drew plenty of attention. So much that he will forever be associated with Warbow.
This. I remember SDcomics as posting long series of comic book covers to reflect his excitement for upcoming SDCCs. Saw he migrated over here and thought "cool another Fwoosher." And then The Warbow Incident. Definitely an eye-opener. Obviously people get super excited when something they want gets revealed. But I don't think I've ever seen anyone get so mad over a reveal. The unfortunate thing is SDcomics will now be known as the Warbow guy, which consequently seems to bother him even more. I'm sure time will pass and he can reclaim his glory as "excited for SDCC" guy. It's still a handful of months away though so there may be more pain ahead.

I struggled over getting this wave. Since I obviously wanted Skurge. And Warbow. But didn't feel the need for the rest, even thought Enchantress is an improvement. Ordered them from Amazon before holidays. Got them. Still haven't opened them. Return window passed. And I suppose I'm stuck with them. Will have to open them soon. Will try and sell Iron Man to recoup some of the overall sting. Maybe I'll get rid of 6-armed Spidey as well, as it's not one I feel I need. I suppose my biggest issue will be who to open first and who to open last. Do I save the best (Warbow) for last?

The real sting of this wave will be when Skurge is offered up as a deluxe figure in a couple years. Repainted with some brown elements. And has a gripping left hand included.

As for who should be considered a "Legend" and deserves to get a ML figure is such an old debate. Think it reared its head first when Toy Biz made X-23. It's a silly debate. Everything is game.

And I don't mind BAF waves. Yes, you're not going to want every figure. But I feel BAF waves are the only way some C and D list characters have any chance of exisiting. And I think those types of characters are what makes the line so interesting and reveals so exciting.

I really love the SC Iron Man armor when it came out. While I understand the disappointment with its recent ML, I also just roll with the punches. Plus, Marvel Select put out a really neat figure of that armor. So any potential sting was softened.

Speaking of Colon Dracula, I just bought the omnibus for my friend's wife for Christmas. She's into comics and horror. I've never read that series but I know it gets a lot of love. She seemed to enjoy receiving the present. Haven't heard if she's started reading it yet, though. Hope she likes it.

Hi, I'm Resilient.. I'm super opinionated about how Hasbro makes Iron Man action figures and I nearly had an aneurysm when the Silver Centurion came out.
My god dude.... the ONLY IM armor I -really- wanted besides Modular. I've long said Hasbro hates me, personally, and I have a mountain of sub-par action figures to prove it.

@SDcomics' rants about Warbow are fucking legendary. That kind of absolute insanity is what these forums are FOR and I will hear no argument to the contrary. I think he knows we only tease him about Warbow out of a mix of love and because he made all of us laugh so much going so hard on that topic. It was great. But he'll always be the 'loves old comics and is excited to tell you about ALL of them' guy and I hope he never changes.
Except when he's heavily medicated. Then I will approve of very specific changes where he becomes a ranting maniac that hates certain characters. Who will the next one be? I -genuinely- cannot wait to find out.

I genuinely liked this whole wave. I was down on the Iron Man and WWII Logan figures when they were first announced, but in hand I really like both. The only one that I'm lukewarm on is Enchantress, but she's still an improvement over her previous figures.

SD's reaction to Warbow really wasn't all that different to my own reaction to Gamerverse Psylocke being in a 2-pack with Thanos. I just wasn't as vocal about it (and I'm nowhere near as funny). I know that we all understand that level of frustration with our hobby sometimes.

I think AshTalon is bringing this SDComics/Warbow issue because somewhere else, Ash brought it up and SD put him on ignore for it. All of a sudden, no sense of humor.

Which...I don't care if someone puts me on ignore. No skin off my nose. It was calling me an asshole which seemed a bit much. But if that brings someone comfort...I'll take the insult. Just seemed like an over-reaction...shocking, I know.

Well the Select is damn near perfect, that's for sure. I absolutely adore that thing.. It didn't really soften the blow for me that much because it just doesn't work with Legends.
