SDCC Exclusives

I may have said before that Santa Cruz, where Lost Boys ( and Sudden Impact) were fimed is where I was born and raised. Used to ride my bike across that railroad trellis they hang from every week. And the Frog Brothers comic store, that was where I bought all my comics from age 5 to age 15. I even worked there for a couple of summers.
Wooo!
Santa Clara County boy, here, specifically Los Gatos/Saratoga (Monte Sereno, actually), and I believe I have mentioned here how Santa Cruz was my constant escape spot, particularly as a teen for dates and going “Lost Boy-ing” all done up in vampire clothes. Married almost a decade now and yet I still haven’t managed to take my wife, she really wants to go.

They're packed. It's kind of a perfect exclusive - nothing critical for anyone except die-hards, but they didn't skimp on the effort - lots of pack-ins and effects, and just overall a fun package. I'm really tempted even though I have zero use for cartoony Lizard and Electro.
Yeah, I should have just said a shit-ton of accessories. There's so much, it actually tempts me.

$84.99 for the Spidey set feels ludicrous - for three re-used figures. I like Electro's new heads and electric hands - and the photo of him standing on electrified power lines - but that's nuts.

Still, *if* I could get one for the accessories, I wonder if re-selling Spidey alone would be enough to make the set worth it. Since some people will need three.

Hope these are easy to get. The Hasbro exclusives were for a while but last years Savage Land wasn’t.

Xavier will likely be my one "I'm not proud of it" purchase from SDCC if I can pull it off. I'd hope they restock him on Pulse if he's a quick sellout as it seems lame to put an integral character like Xavier behind the Pulse exclusive hoops to jump through.

Does anyone have the dimensions of the old chair handy? I'd like to get the new one, but I don't think it'll fit in my display.

I would like to get Chuck. That video posted above is a perfect reminder that I really don't care for either Xavier in my collection. This one isn't perfect, but it's an improvement and the animated hoverchair is great.

I don't need or want the Spidey set, but I'm happy it exists. It looks fun and $85 seems fair for an exclusive.

But the question we're wondering here is...did you kill any vampires while working at that store?
