SDCC Exclusive Savage Land 3 pack (Rogue, Sauron, Shanna)

Liz Gillies was on one of the Nickelodeon or Disney Channel shows my kids used to watch. She grew up, and the last thing I'm aware of that she was in was Little Shop of Horrors on Broadway.

Victorious...

a thing i know after watching a youtuber dicuss those nick shows for like, 72 hours among many different videos.

She also voiced Catwoman in the great movie Catwoman: Hunted

Margaret Qualley would be a close choice if we're going looks wise - her hair has the volume and her features are very big and expressive - but I have not been impressed with her last three films (one of which I turned off after three minutes)
Okay, I'll bite: which one? The Substance? Kinds of Kindness?

I don’t need someone who “looks like Rogue”: that’s what costumes and makeup are for.
That said: I’d definitely be good with Margaret Qualley. Loved loved LOVED The Substance (second best film of last year after Nosferatu, in my humble opinion), and I enjoyed Honey Don’t! as well. One thing MQ has is a fantastic, resonant, alto speaking voice, which is something I’d like for Rogue.

Well I wasn't meaning for it to just go off looks, but personality and acting skill. Alot of those actors I just can't see pulling it off. Honestly I didn't think paquins was all that great either but at the time it was "Live action Xmen, omg, give me em all." I'm sure given better material paquin would've done stellar. Most of Rogues stuff I feel like now was written for Jubilee and they threw it on Rogue instead. Not saying she didn't do a bang up job, she was good. Just the character was written wrong imo. I also saw something saying Alaxandra Daddario could do it too. That one i can at least see, but I've never been super impressed with her acting either. But she is by far the best looking of the Rogue maybes, for the part. But Id still be skeptical.

Yeah they *definitely* wanted the Kitty Pryde/Jubilee “protective yet wholesome mentor” relationship with Wolverine to be an emotional centerpiece of the film and just went “well Rogue’s the ‘young girl’ of this script so she can have that relationship with Wolverine”.
Which was weird but also basically checks out in that if there is a teenaged girl mutant character, Logan is probably gonna mentor her.

I thought that's what they were going for early X-Men when she first joined the team. She hung out with Wolverine a few times because they were both the mody outcast. That iconic Paul Smith cover circa Outback era.

And she had the green peacoat and hood look, and Rogue used to be quiet and moody pre Carol, but by then the 90s had firmly rebranded her and even comic guys I knew at the time didn't know Rogue ever was a moody kid in a hoodie.

Which is why the Evo take is such a great spin. Beyond the '90s alternative girl horniness of it all.

How do you not remember Victorious? My son loved that show so much he watched it incessantly. We own two soundtrack CD's from the show and I can still sing the theme song word for word... "Here I am, once again, feeling lost but now and then, I breathe it in and let it go-oo!"...

Jade West would threaten you with a scissoring for not rembering whi h show she was on.

Real talk I love Li,z Gillies but she's probably too old to play Rogue. Her most recent work I believe is in the recent Dynasty remake which ran for 5 seasons on CW.

I just get all the shows mixed up. There were so many that my kids watched. Victorious, Bunk’d, iCarly, Good Luck Charlie, Suite Life… they all blend together. Must have been the canned laugh tracks.
