I'm torn on this one. For one, the colors pop! I love that shade of red and blue and it's my preferred color palette for Spidey. I love the mask with the big eyes, that's my preferred eye-shape as it's very Bagley-esq and making them raised adds nice depth. The torso and arm proportions are great and it looks like his hands are going to have some nice personality to them. I don't like that cut-up crotch and the very obvious thigh cuts. He definitely would never be in a vanilla pose on my shelf, but also they just don't need to look that bad. I just got their $35 Vegeta who has a rubber overlay at the crotch. It looks far neater (ignoring his weird ass sculpt) and he can do full splits in both directions and kick higher than 90 degrees (his thigh swivels are still in a bad spot). They don't need to do everything that's going on here and they certainly didn't need to do it with Cyclops. I'm also not a fan of sculpted-in weblines and it doesn't look like they're even painted. There may be a wash in them, but I prefer printed weblines. I know some people used the opposite as criticism of the Maximum Spider-Man, but that was something I thought Hasbro got right. I worry that the color saturation in these photos isn't an accurate reflection of the figure in-hand and the sculpted, unpainted, lines will give it a cheap, plastic, look. And there's the matter of price. I don't know if it was possible to get Cyclops for much less than the $110 asking price most US sites had. And given the changes in shipping rules, this figure likely won't be any cheaper regardless of where you buy it from. I envision doing what I did with Cyke which is preorder somewhere that doesn't require a deposit and hope some people have it in-hand before payment is due so I can decide then if it's right for my collection.
