S.H. Figuarts Marvel Figures

Isn't the Dragon Ball line basically the only one that's firing on all cylinders these days?

From what I've seen of the MvC figures, I'm not sure any of them are better than their ML counterparts.
It's kind of up and down like the other stuff. Weird articulation and engineering choices, spotty quality control, and so on.

It's not my scene but I have two friends who are deep into that fandom and apparently the figures have wild swings in quality and the line reputation is more that it's ass cheeks now.

There are still some good ones, but the cheaper mass retail line apparently beats some of them out depending on the character, and the third party scene is obliterating everyone else anyway if you are a serious DBZ person.

Those are the conversations I have had when they commiserate with me about my Marvel or random characters.

The SH Monsterarts line has had some significant improvements since the release of the Godzilla 1972 figure a couple of years ago. But the prices have risen to unfathomable levels and it’s currently the biggest reason why collectors have flocked to Hiya toys. A typical SHMA Godzilla could run up to $140 for a single figure without accessories. Meanwhile Hiya will sell their figures at around $51 and the figs include accessories. That’s an $89 difference
