Has anyone seen these new Blokees figures? I heard great things about their Charizard so I broke down and ordered one from Aliexpress. I'll post thoughts when it arrives.

I was never completely happy with the Jazwares figure and I missed out on the SHF.

I’ve had my eye on Psyduck for a while, but kept putting off buying one and now with the confusing tariffs I’m afraid I’d get charged some obscene amount in duties for one.

I’ve also heard the Charizard is great. Looks SO similar to the Figuarts one except for a fraction of even the original retail price, let alone the current aftermarket price.

Definitely a line I’d like to keep my eye on for any new Gen 1 stuff they put out.
 
Charizard came in a few weeks ago. It took me some time to assemble him because he's technically a model and I hate those things.

He's made from a soft, matte plastic. It has a nice hand-feel. It's dissimilar to anything I own except maybe a Pop Up Parade statue.

He looks cleaner and is more articulated than the Jazwares figure. He also comes with multiple fire effects. All in all, it's a huge upgrade. While the Jazwares figure is solid for the price, it's shiny (it could do with a hit of Robo's Mr. Hobby Mr. Super Clear) and has visible joints and pins. Worst of all, mine had a giant black paint defect on the chest. For Charizard, I prefer the translucent plastic tail to the painted fire.

What's my best bet for a Gengar? Is it the Jazwares?
 
my nostalgic-self would love to collect the old Tomy figures but Jesus H. Christ do they go for a lot on the secondary market.

if there is a collection that would allow me to easily assemble the original 151, I'd love to see it

If you’ve got a Meijer around you, the newest wave of Battle Figures is showing up there. Grabbed Kabutops and Magnemite/Azumarill today, but they also had Quaxwell and Sylveon.
 
Just discovering the Blokees stuff and though I'm not a Pokemon guy in general (I'm a little too old to have had it at the right time of my youth), it has become a joke between me and one of my closest friends that Psyduck is my inner beast and I have had a weird desire to pick up a 1/12 scale one for my shelf. I don't mind kits I have to assemble so I might have to track this one down.

Looks great. Good size on him, probably going to replace the Snorlax bank I currently use. He's a favorite of mine.

Scyther looks great too. Much better articulated than the Jazwares version. I hope they'll tackle Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan. Those are two I've always wanted decent figures of.
