PLAYMATES TMNT x Godzilla

they’re fun, not sure I’ll buy them because I can’t just buy everything with a Ninja Turtle slapped on it… but it’s a lot of fun!

Like these look like they could have been in the vintage line like Universal Monsters or Star Trek figures, they feel like something you’d have passed over in 1992 to get some Kenner Batmans instead only to find out today a complete carded Gidorah Mikey goes for over a grand now… not just putting a repainted Ninja Turtle in a box with a Godzilla figure and calling it a day like some of the TMNT crossovers of late have been (and the JL/monsterverse series…) so that’s cool at least!

We....can't? Nobody sent me that memo until now!

I don't collect much Godzilla but hey, turtles! These designs are pretty cool and they are Playmates so it's not like they are going to be Neca or Super 7 or even Marvel Legends prices.

I believe $15.99 was the price I saw. And I collect both TMNT and Godzilla, so...

So Mechagodzilla: Donnie or Metalhead? Depends how far/long they're going with this. And surely April is Mothra?

The price on these begs the question. Why does Mattel have to charge $30 for MOTUxTransformers figures but Playmates can sell TMNTxGodzilla for $15.99?

They are comparable quality IMO. Not like Mattel is Neca or anything.

Maybe Hasbro is the culprit here? Similar to what they did to Mondo with Ghostbusters?
