Operation Monster Force

@ManOfTheLamb Hah! That Santa.

I waffled endlessly on adding that Check It Twice Santa to my MF team. Like, once a year they team up with Santa Clause (who is as real as Dracula and Frankenstein) to fend Krampus' annual attacks. Eventually CIT Santa sold out, so it's no longer a temptation.

But there was a time when I considered a baseball bat-wielding Santa riding around in a sleigh pulled by a Santataur a legit member of Monster Force.

You can always go 'the sheer volume of the naughty list finally made him snap' Santa & have him join the dark forces. This evil Santa is probably my favorite one if the line!

How the hell did you degenerates convince me to go the logical route and get a Santa to go on the Monster Force? I mean, it makes sense. He was a good natured happy dude who wants nothing but the best for children, so much so he has been gifted with demi-god like abilities to continue. And some creepy undead jackhole threatens that. HoHoHO mofo, you're on top of the naughty list.

Heheheh Naughty or Nice and Monster Force are the same line as far as I am concerned, but then again I’m way more interested in the “evil” Santas than the “good” ones. Black Phillip and Dracula go on adventures year-round in my house.

I think Robot Santa is the one that makes the most sense to go with my Monster Force, though I gave him a machine gun instead of the shotgun he came with.

In my canon, Santa had the robot built to help him do his annual job more efficiently, but the programming got corrupted and the bot decided its job should be punishing the naughty instead of rewarding the nice. Santa tried to have it decommissioned but it escaped and was recruited by Monster Force whose mission they convinced it dovetailed with its own.

And this is how I found out there was a Black Phillip figure and went pricing him out.

Dracula and Forgotten King arrived today, bought them from someone who looks to be liquidating his collection. Aside form a really stiff/stuck elbow joint (I've got a few of these so far, where only half the double joint will move, can't quite get it to move even with heat) Drac is probably my favorite version of the character I have at this scale. He's going to pop up EVERYWHERE in my displays I think.

I was going to skip the King but it was actually cheaper to get them both together instead of separately and I figured I'd want him at some point. He's very cool in hand. I kind of want to set him up with the Figura Obscura Egyptian gods in like a "summoning the gods to fight on his behalf" type setup.

*sigh*...Krampus doesn't attack Santa. In the folklore, the many Krampussen work FOR St. Nicholas. It's a common misconception of Americans that Krampus is Santa's enemy.

You can't tell me what to do in "MY" head canon. :p

Even if that's what the lore says.

One of my sillier publishing projects a few years back was a holiday novella about superheroes vs. Krampus and now I want to to back and do a sequel only this time, it's St. Nick arriving to avenge his defeated minion.

Saw a post from one of their socials that Wave zero, 1, and 2 should be arriving mid-sSptember. Absolutely, 100% just added a few figures to my preorders/POL over on BBTS. I'm still not able to go all in, but that definitely nudged me over the edge to order Donner Party.
