Operation Monster Force

Every single time I mess with the Horsemen Creature it blows my mind. Might be one of their very best figures ever. And I may have to get him again in green even though I swore I wouldn't.

I kinda like a non-hulking Creature with the Donner Party thing, but this line is cool enough if they made an actual Frankenstein I'd be interested.
He's one of my favorite figures ever. I've thought about getting the green one just for the accesories.

I think my main takeaway from Robo's review video was "shit, did I throw away the backdrop inserts from Wave 1?"

I only have two figures but I kept the boxes just in case (only got them on Monday) and yeah, I'll hang onto the backdrops. Although I do that pretty often and I never end up using them.

Man... every review of these figures makes me feel like I should order more.

Since I'm not a huge fan of zombies this impending wave is one I ordered somewhat lighter. Though I did order three of the General figure. I ordered one of the suited Agents to convert into Pete Wisdom in my Excalibur display.

I wish the agent had an un-sunglassed head, because that would absolutely be my Pete Wisdom stand-in, too. Right now I've got a Jamie Madrox head on a Everett Ross body as Pete until I can get something better.

Definitely preordering a few of these to go with the Van Helsing and vampire trooper I picked up this week, but just trying to figure out who will be impossible to get later. I've got an agent and a Donner Party in my cart and keep hovering over adding Griffin/Invisible Man to the cart too.

Hard to say with this line. Declan sold out first of wave one I think. They might produce more of the army builders than the named characters but army building also means they could sell out faster because of army building. Hopefully anything that sells out quickly they’ll be willing to do another run of like they are with some season 1 figures.

Has there been any word about a second run on the werewolf? I was able to get Declan and a Delta Red easily enough but they only have three army builders and Declan in stock. I did see they have Dracula and the Forgotten King up for preorder but I dumb-lucked my way into finding someone selling off his collection and had those two together for under retail so I scooped them up. I could live without the other Wave 1 stuff but I'm effin' FASCINATED by the werewolf design.

Anyway, just preordered one black-suited agent and Griffin since those two I"m totally sold on... may preorder and POL one or two more after I sleep on it. Declan and the Red Delta are some of the best new figures I've picked up this year, so effin cool.

I haven’t seen anything on the Kilowargs getting rereleased. They were already a repaint of the Furay Planet figure so they’re kind of an anomaly by not being completely owned by FMF/BBTS. They might have less control of additional runs.

I wonder if the Fwoosh skeletons are just on loan to FMF or if they straight up bought the molds. Can't imagine Fwoosh putting out more waves of them with the current state of the site, probably makes more sense to just sell the steels molds and recoup what you can.

Didn't realize he was a straight remake. Is the FuRay figure a different scale? I'm dying for a really good werewolf figure and I see BBTS has a version of Veteran William in-stock but looks like the other Monster Force figures wouldn't even come up to his shoulder.

The original was a brown color so it is a new color at least but same figure otherwise, I believe. Hard to say on scale exactly. He’s a bit bigger than a standard MD figure, but I usually picture werewolves of this variety to big bigger than average human size. He’s not like a LooseCollector Hyde or Werewolf and absolutely gigantic. I think the scale is just fine for what they are going for. Certainly imposing!

I only have the Wilowargs and the white William variant so I’m not sure how the other figures scale. I did hear their Killer Croc/Leatherhead is smaller than most were expecting them to be, which probably means they’re not huge like those characters usually are depicted. So scale is probably about the same as MF.

I've actually found pics of white William (the one with the puffer vest) side by side with stuff that Monster Force scales perfectly with, so if Kiloworg is the same size as white William that totally answers the riddle I'm trying to figure out. Any opinions on the quality of the two figures - basically the same or is one sturdier/more posable than the other? If they're essentially the same I'll feel less bad trying to make one or the other fit in. My worry was as you pointed out some of the competitors' werewolves are HUUUUGE. I don't want a hulk sized one, but a big old monster would be rad.
