Day #438 - American Eagle

Would I buy? Strongbow - Day #1 instant purchase. Dore - on discount
Which version? Traditional classic look is preferred, but the recent leather jacket version is fine (pictures #9-10).

Strongbow - western themed? Check. Needed diversity? Check. Total badass? Check. If you haven't seen Strongbow take on the Thunderbolts, definitely check it out.

100% yes to American Eagle. Would prefer the original ceremonial costume but would also pick up the leather Thunderbolts look. Steel Spider, as one of Strongbow's teammates, is also a big want. Definitely up for more classic Squadron Supreme, so yes to their American Eagle and the pictured Tom Thumb.

I'd love a Jason Strongbow American Eagle. "Marvel Team-Up" and "Marvel Two-in-One" were (and remain) some of my favorite comics as a kid, so American Eagle looms large in my memory because of how much I loved his first appearance. Plus he's in the first few pages of every handbook released since his debut, which has always kept him in my head.

Catching up from the past couple days, absolutely yes to Jeff Mace Patriot, though not on the top of my Golden Age want list. Super-Patriot would be cool if we got Captain America-specific characters more often. Probably a pain in the ass to do deco for, though.

And yes to Reb Brown Cap (Big McLargeHuge!), as well as the serial version from the forties. Most "never gonna happen" Marvel Legends figure of all time, honestly hadn't even thought of it until this thread ... but now I really want one. Give me Tom Tyler Captain Marvel, too!

For Strongbow, the Handbook look is preferred, but I like the headdress-less mask/head (5th picture) on that costume as well. So ideally I'd take that as a pack-in.

For Dore, I'm a big Squadron fan, so I'll take any and all Squadron members, especially the classic Gruenwald LS versions.
