Day #403 - Simon Garth/Zombie

Would I buy? Day #1 instant purchase
Which version? I love the look on the Daredevil cover. Slim build, puke yellow/greenish skin. I'm not a fan of the bulkier version.

Hey Hasbro - let's update the Monsters Boxset ASAP!
Simon Garth is technically an Atlas Comics character, pre-dating the fantastic Four and Spider-Man.

Absolutely in for the Handbook Simon Garth Zombie. Basically redo the old ToyBiz figure with modern articulation and I'd be happy. But even then, that old figure is still one of the very few ToyBiz figures that survives in my collection to this day. It's going to be hard to beat.

I desperately want an update of the Zombie. Yes: thinner, not bulkier, and it would be incredible to include both a long-haired “classic” head and an old-school Atlas style head in that EC Comics-like style.

Zombies just aren't my thing. So Simon Garth would be one of the few monsters I would pass on.
But I still want him made. More monsters in the line is a good thing.

I have pretty much no attachment to Marvel's monsters. But I like that Simon Garth is a named character, not just a generic zombie. I always found it so weird that there's Marvel versions of literary characters like Dracula and Frankenstein, but if Thor and Hercules exist, then why not? I'd take Simon Garth, he looks very cool in the art samples.

Oh yeah. The late, great Simon Garth. That whole Monster set could benefit from some upgrades. They did WBN, Simon would be cool too. Crank up the gore and make him an awesome zombie!
