One A Day 2.0: Day #232 - The Twelve

Catching up:

Original Human Torch- HELL YES! In Byrne look, preferably

Black Order- There was a time I'd have gotten all of these, but at today's prices I'd have to pass. If I found them all at Ross or Ollie's I'd likely bite

Aleta- I'd likely buy her.

Living Lazer- Absolutely. Classic Handbook, please. The figure we got for him is not at all my minds-eye view of the character.

Maxam- HARD PASS. Never cared for the character, and I honestly hate his look.

Day #227 - Thena

Would I buy? YES!
Which version? Kirby

I'm all in for the main Eternals in comic form, and Thene is a big part of that.

Classic Kirby, Handbook Eternals would be a guaranteed purchase including Thena, but also Ajak, Sersi, Gilgamesh, Sprite, etc... Eternals has to be Marvel's most mismanaged property, especially in the comics. Jason Aaron's ridiculous, disgusting retcon of them and then having them all murder each other (they're called Eternals for a reason) was just pathetic.

A resounding YES to classic Kirby Thena. Classic Kirby Eternals all around are my desire. But they'll likely run into the same issues that the Asgardians are under, so I'm not going to hold my breath. Ikaris was a friggin' miracle.

It's odd...as much as I love Kirby, I think Eternals may be my least-favorite thing he's done. None of the characters have ever grabbed me the way most of his work does. I can't really explain it. Anyway, that's a long-winded way of saying "pass on Thena".
