Day #106 - Griffin

Would I buy? Day #1 instant purchase
Which version? Definitly the look from Marvel Team-Up, pictures #5 & #6. I also like the sleek look when he's beating down Iron Man in picture #10. He has to have the white gloves and legs/feet. I don't like any of the pictures without them.

Speaking of Dwight from yesterday's entry, he name dropped Griffin without any prompting from me... as a character that is too expensive. Bummer. Griffin would be an absolutely amazing addition to our collections.

Darned, that is disappointing. I thought he would be a fairly logical reuse of the wings they tooled for Angel.

Big want of mine, feels like a character who would have had a better chance back in the days when most waves had a BAF.

Griffin definitely is a huge want but he needs to be more man shaped than lion shaped. I don't need another MOTUC type griffin figure... OHotMU look would be fine. Also please not in a suit.

I wonder if they might consider him one day for the MTO model? I think he might be too small for that, but maybe I am imagining that and he is closer to Dragon Man size.

Griff would be a day one PO! Make him a made to order if he's that much trouble for an ordinary release.

Day One purchase for Griffin as depicted in the Handbook entry or Marvel Team-Up cover. Agree he would make sense as a genuinely awesome BAF or MTO. In terms of MTO, I wonder if there's a way to include limbs/legs and an extra head to convert him to the more animalistic form ridden by Namor in the Savage Land ? Would they then be able to sell the character to both sides with some people picking up two to display both ways ?
