One A Day 2.0: Day #164 - Maelstrom, Helio, Gronk and Phobius

So obviously YES , an instant pre-order for sure. Like I've said over and over this figure is the cheapest, easiest figure they could release. No additional sculptung or new molds required... white plastic and black paint... and that's it. This figure has climbed my most wanted list but I can't fathom why it doesn't already exist.

Swarm and Stegron - I get it. Super tooling intensive... even Will o the Wisp I get - easy to make but fairly obscure.

But Spot is that sweetest of sweet-spots for Hasbro... super cheap to produce and higher profile thanks to Across the Spider-verse.

Just pull the trigger Hasbro

Even though I think he'd be a very toyetic figure, I'd likely pass on Master of the World, as I've not collected the Alpha Flight figures. Maybe if he was on clearance.

Spot, on the other hand, is an instant buy! Can't believe we haven't gotten him yet!

Are you sure he hasn’t been made as a Legends figure yet?
 
Yes, please to a comic accurate Spot. I did a custom of him years ago on a Toy Biz Bullseye buck, but that is extremely dated at this point. I bought the Spiderverse animated one and that's what I have in my display currently but really need a better one than that.
 
Yes to a comic Spot.

My preference would be for a release with two heads (big black spot on the face and face with nose and eyes). If only one head I would prefer the look with the big black spot on the face.
 
I couldn't even bring myself to buy that Spiderverse Spot figure because of the weird body shape and gangly limbs.

I have an extra Zero fron the Stryfe box set that I was intending to use for a custom Spot. But I can't bring myself to do it because as soon as I do Hasbro will announce him...

Would I buy? Yes, but probably on sale

Rek-Rap was Dan Yun's One A Day Guest Star choice when I asked the guys last year at SDCC. So he's definitely on Dan's mind.
