One A Day 2.0: Day #164 - Maelstrom, Helio, Gronk and Phobius

Not a character I have a ton of attachment to, but if done at 12-18", he'd be a blast to pose and have on a shelf.

I am a sucker for kaiju & giant robots.

Would likely pick up Ultimo in either form but agree the silver look is more probable if he was made. The size is an issue, which got me thinking about the first time I encountered the character as a kid. He's in the first Avengers Annual with a bunch of other Avengers enemies gathered by the Mandarin. The relevance being that Mandarin and some of the other "Mandarin's Minions" are highly requested characters yet to be made: classic Skurge the Executioner, Swordsman (Jacques Duquesne), classic Living Laser with Enchantress and Erik Josten as Power Man rounding out the team. Would they work as a "Bring on the Bad Guys" wave with either Ultimo or Josten in one of his later identities as Goliath as a BAF or even as a boxset with a Dragon Man-sized Ultimo ? They likely would put Mandarin in a different costume than the Silver Age green and pink costume he wears here (although I'd pick him up in a tasteful version of this look). Just an idea.

Day #43 - Shaper of Worlds

Would I buy? Yes, but not a high priority.

Cool looking character, definitely unique. How about a Shaper of Worlds and cyborg box Korvac 2-pack?

Same here. Ultimo in silver is ok, but I'd much rather have other Iron Man villains before he is made.

I have to give credit to Hasbro for knocking out a number of Iron Man Villains over the last few years. It was really great to get Blacklash finally last year. That was a pretty major collecting milestone for me. I never really thought we'd see the day that Controller would get released either. Now this year we have Madame Masque and a rumored Mandarin.. It's been pretty solid run when you consider all the armors we've been getting, too.

Day #44 - Happy Memorial Day, featuring Miss America

Would I buy? Instant purchase.
Which version? Definitely want a standard head and an alternate head with glasses. Brown hair preferred.

Miss America, along with many other neglected Golden Age Heroes, deserves to be made.
