One A Day 2.0: Day #163 - Maximus Boltagon

A Power Pack set could just be a ton of fun, and effects pieces would be absolutely mandatory. Cool light trail for Julie, and appropriate energy effects for the others would make for a really incredible team display. Would love to see them get made some day!

It was hard to buy a comic during that time period and it not have this PSA on the back of it.

Massive yes to Power Pack in classic costumes. Way underrated comic and team ! Agree older versions of Alex (New Warriors and Future Foundation) and Julie (now an Avenger) are also needed. If they did a boxset, they should include Kymellians Aelfyre Whitemane (their mentor) and Kofi (ally and later member).

Since that PSA was brought up I'll share the story I was debating telling. That PSA was my first and for years only way of knowing PP existed. To the point that I thought they were made for that ad - kind of like Crest Man or those Hostess Villains, except to relate to kids. To this day when I see Power Pack my mind goes to "bad touch." I've never been able to shake it.

Same! I saw them in the ad so many times and I remember being surprised when I saw they had their own series. I think I ran across it at a flea market.

Power Pack is one of the few Marvel things that just passed me by. I never would've heard of the group if not for Avengers Academy and Future Foundation. Apparently they were based locally on Bainbridge Island for a while?

I've never even seen an issue in person. It's an odd blind spot.

Absolutely yes to classic Power Pack. As others have said they should just come in a box set with some cool power effects. And since they're kids and would be smaller figures, maybe we could sneak in Franklin Richards in his Tattletale costume too?

I'd also buy the grown up versions, especially Julie since she's been Avengers-associated for a few years (the Academy and "Assemble" teams), but the original looks would be the priority.

I don't know how many older comics you read but I'm surprised someone with a Magik avatar wouldn't have a passing awareness of Power Pack. They crossed over with Illyana and the New Mutants many times

When I went back to read the original New Mutants run, I didn't have the collected editions. I just read NM straight through. I'm only vaguely aware of her exploits in Power Pack.

If Power Pack appeared in that run, I have absolutely no memory of it.

Day #32 - The Russian

Would I buy? YES!
Which version - Classic striped shirt.

The Russian would look absolutely amazing fighting Frank on my shelf.

There are a handful of Punisher-related characters I really want Legends to get to, and *the Russian Punisher is at the top of that list. His classic, pre-op form with the red and white stripes is a must have.

I'd certainly take more, but give me Barracuda, Micro, and Sniper and I'd be set for Punisher characters for a while.
