One A Day 2.0: Day #163 - Maximus Boltagon

Honestly, Cecilia Reyes is one of the X-Men I care least about (though Stacy X ranks below her). That said if they made a Legends figure in one of the X-jumpsuits I would buy it.

Probably still my favourite modern IM armour. So glad ML already made it, but I would love to see them redo it with better paint.
 
I'd get Dr. Cecilia Reyes for a BAF part or on sale. She has no definitive look for me, so don't care what look they put her in.
 
Yep, pic #7 for me. Not the most exciting costume but that look would represent that era of X-Men on the shelf pretty well with Maggot and Marrow (and a Joseph please!)
 
I'd not mind Cecilia if she came in a set for some kind of completion-sake, but she isn't a draw on her own. If I recall, her initial introduction was around Zero Tolerance, and the promo art around then was grouping together specifically Maggot, Joseph, Marrow's new costume that we ended up getting now, and Cecilia as a loosely connected set of new characters to enter the X-Men fold, so I always imagined she would fit in well for something like a Zero Tolerance themed box set as she's easy re-use if they phone her in as a new head on a training suit body while bulking up the set with a Bastion, Prime Sentinels, updated Iceman, etc...

Unfortunately my feelings towards the concept of the character really soured after the New Mutants movie where they did such a crappy job of repositioning her as a thinly written villain. I really liked the principle of her having primarily defensive powers and an ethical mandate as a doctor to save lives when she's forced into positions that might make her have to act offensively or pre-emptively defend herself in ways that could be doing harm to her aggressors, but I never though this was very well explored and completely missed in that awful film so I can go years at a time forgetting the character ever existed. Definitely she's more one we could all just kitbash with a spare training uniform Storm body spliced with the lab coat from Moira and take our pick of any spare head that works as a placeholder and call it a day.

I'd take her in her X-suit specifically for this reason. No need for her in any other depiction personally. I'm actually more excited for your idea of an OZT boxset, new Iceman, more human looking Bastion, better Prime Sentinels, toss in a pack-in with a glasses-ed more stoick looking head for Maggott (maybe fists too plz) to upgrade that figure. I'd be very happy to shell out for that. If it got us a blue & yellow Cannonball I'd be over the moon!
