Day #87 - Tagak the Leopard Lord

Would I buy? YES! Day 1 instant purchase.

Tagak and Opar 2-pack! They would really pop on a shelf.

Oh heck yeah! Tagak and Opar would make a sweet 2-pack, even if it’s unlikely to ever happen. Tagak was a “Defender for a Day”, so it would be nice to add him to that illustrious roster.
 
Resounding yes to Tagak the Leopard Lord. Tagak was the first "new" superhero, in Daredevil, I remember reading about as a little kid. 100% on board for a Tagak and Opar two-pack (maybe Pulse exclusive) ? Also, how about a "Defenders for a Day" boxset containing Tagak ? It could potentially fill the void for many of the most often requested guest-star heroes : Jack of Hearts, Stingray, White Tiger, Capt. Ultra... I'd definitely throw in Torpedo (Brock Jones) and Polaris (Shi'ar costume). As an anchor, maybe use one or more of the following: classic Hercules, classic Son of Satan, classic Falcon, classic Valkyrie, Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers), classic Havok, Quasar/Marvel Man first costume, Paladin. If Hasbro wanted to connect the dots, they could even offer Black Goliath as the oversize figure for the time period available. Not likely but stranger things have happened.
 
Absolutely yes! Tagak always felt like a character they were setting up to be a much bigger deal than he turned out to be. It would be cool if a current writer remembered him and did something with him.
 
I absolutely want a figure of Tagak the Leopard Lord in my collection. 100% would buy... but will probably end up making ny own: classic Black Panther base, some yellow and orange paint and use some paint brush bristles for the whiskers.

Heck with the box set. What you got there is a great BAF wave. Something like:

BAF classic Black Goliath
Torpedo
Tagak
Captain Ultra
Jack of Hearts
Stingray
White Tiger

It would hit a lot of hot buttons for collectors. Just sayin’.
 
Not a single anchor character in that wave means its an utter impossibility.

Its a good list of characters though.
