NECA TMNT ‘90s Movie Line

I actually got my 90s single pack repack figures today. That goddamn Topps card packaging is amazing and I will buy everything all over again if they'd release it. Casey, April, my 9th Shredder, Foot, Tatsu...do it NECA. This packaging rocks.
 
BTW, for those who had your walmart orders cancelled, you can get a $10 off $15 coupon if you contact CS and tell them about your disappointment. The codes last a long time. Personally I like buying the pop secret pantry packs of popcorn which are $7.58, so I just hoard these promos (they usually last 3+ months before expiring) and then just order a few $15.16 orders of popcorn for pickup.

It's also worth noting...because I certainly didn't know this...if you use your promo code on a new order which also gets cancelled, they will refund the code and you can use it again. They don't tell you this but it works.
 
My single Mikey came today. No update on Walmart's website. I could probably be a jerk and get it refunded if they never mark it as shipped, but I'm not going to do that. It's a good thing I'm not an inbox collector though. Whoever packaged this at the factory just crammed the figure in splitting through the plastic bubble. Mikey was basically behind the bubble and leaning far to his left. It ripped through the back of where the accessories are store so some of them were kicking around in the box, but nothing appears to be missing or damaged. I bought this for the spinning 'chuk part which will hopefully look fine on my original Mikey as I prefer his expression. Figure seems fine. Thigh swivels are stuck and the hands are really hard so he won't be able to hold that Turtle Wax bottle without some heat.

Not seeing anybody new on NECA’s 12 Days of Downloads for the TMNT movie line.

What’s the deal with the European homage of Super Shredder, though? Was that ever released? I don’t see any on eBay.

Yep, it was a Wal-Mart exclusive. In fact, one of the stores here still has a couple. I don't know if they found them in the back or got sent them, but they're on the shelf, not on clearance.
 
Ya know...

NECA, at one point, was my favorite company. They could do not wrong. They had hit after hit.

But they have just lost the plot anymore. These 12 Days of Downloads were always used to get us amped up with teasers. Nothing of note on any of these this year.

We used to have Santa Randy's Christmas Eve teasers to look forward to. He no longer exists online.

Between these changes, the repeated store issues, the slowdown in production, the lack of communication, and so many other companies just frankly doing it all better...

They've fallen quite far. Don't get me wrong, what they do put out is great...but combined everything, it isn't enough.

You might have a better shot of finding it on ebay if you search for 30th anniversary edition Super Shredder. It had a sticker on the box, if I recall correctly, marking the occasion. It's just a pink Super Shredder though. My local stores had them on clearance awhile back. Not sure if they ever sold them all or if they got shipped back for those NECA blind box things they've been doing.

The movie line for me is basically done so I'm not surprised by the lack of anything new. The biggest outlier is probably a Turco April, but I don't really care if one comes to pass or not. Once I got Tatsu I was pretty much all set.
 
There was also that tease of the yellow jumpsuit Judith Hoag figure with arcade cabinet that seems to be gone.

They were reworking her, if I remember right. Plus the arcade cabinet, which I think they were going to do more with... Still looking forward to it and any other What If figures they pop out. I almost want to see how a movie Shredder would look with the cartoon colors. Maybe that'd just be a visual abomination.
 
Figured I'd see if they have the usual vanilla Bebop and Rocksteady I've been after for some time. Nope. Okay, so I'll get multiple cartoon Foot Soldiers. Nope, can't do that either. Gotta pick individually from our grab bag of $#!t that wont move otherwise.

No thanks.

You can buy the Ultimate Foot Soldier off Target's website.
 
I can't recall where I saw it, but someone said Judith vetoed the jumpsuit April and I can't blame her. It's not a flattering look. They were either going to rework it or scrap it. Could be tied to Tempestra too as I'm sure they were counting on getting two uses out of the arcade cabinet. I'm not sure if Foot disguise Casey was ever meant to be for release or just a fun easter egg for the display, like that toon Ronin that we've never seen again.
