NECA - General Thread

To paraphrase that guy from Spiderman, "You mess with Zach, you mess with all of us!"

I know it wouldn't happen in a thousand years, but my mind instantly went to NECA producing LOTR Ultimates, and ooooh baby. 🤤 I know their LOTR license was like their DC license, and they mostly just made a couple 12 inch figures ages ago, but if they were ever able to make Ultimates? Come to Papa!
 
Target has delayed my Pamela Voorhees a couple of times now. Each time just by a day, but I'm not feeling optimistic anymore. Anyone else order her from there and actually get one shipped?

EDIT: Huh, just checked the site now, and she's actually available to order again. So probably nothing to worry about.
 
I spotted Pamela Voorhees in person last Friday among the new Haulathon drop. I don't collect NECA's horror figures, so it didn't mean much to me, but I did see a lot of people hyped for it here.

I've had the same, but I already got a notice from UPS that the label was created, so I'm not too worried about it.
 
I saw a couple Pamelas yesterday at my local Target as well. Wasn't sure if/when she was ever coming to stores- it can be so iffy around here, so it was nice to see her. If anyone else is looking for her, I can keep an eye out.

Has anyone else who ordered from NECA on Alien Day gotten a shipment notice on their order? I know it's NECA, and their service is always a little unknown, just didn't know if mine was the unlucky one who fell between the cracks this time.

Mine actually showed up today, minutes after I got shipping notice from Target. Guess it had shipped a couple days ago and the system hadn't caught up.

Mine did too! Then I got an immediate shipped & then delivered notice from Target. But I've got to go pick mine up at the UPS store, so I probably won't have her in hand until Friday.
 
NECA things I'd like to see. All 7" naturally.

1. Continue Pee Wee's Playhouse
2. What We Do in the Shadows
3. Monty Python
4. Can't we ever get a Taylor and Nova to finish off their POTA license?
5. EC Comics themed Crypt Keeper, Vault Keeper & Old Witch.
 
So I got the Last of Us two pack way back at better than half off during one of BBTS' big sales and just never had a reason to unbox it - one of those impulse buys that didn't make a ton of sense at the time. But with the show running right now, finally got around to unpacking them, and I know why we only ever get Joel and Ellie but I like these two enough I wisih we could get a few more - Tommy and Dina and Abby, maybe. They're really nice. I have the Spin Master versions too and there's things I like better about both sets, but clearly NECA is the more detailed, more solid offering. I do wish they scaled with something like Classified so I could swap parts and maybe do a fun setup or two. Not sure who to put them with on the shelf other than the tiny versions of themselves from another company.

I'd love them to continue it too- at least to give us a Clicker, but I'd happily take Abby, Tommy, Dina, Lev, Tess, Marlene, whoever. I feel like that's something NECA could nail if they tried. It's odd- they used to have at least a pretty decent focus on video game figures with the Player Select line, but we haven't seen any new game-based figures from them for a while, just those Ezio re-releases. I'd love to see what they could do with Ultimates of something like Resident Evil nowadays.

Sadly, we'll never get these 2 characters. Randy pretty much made that clear back in the day. I ended up using my Prometheus figures as stand-ins for pics. Then again, he also more or less said we'd never get a mini-series Pennywise for years. 🤷‍♂️

I'm shocked they re-released the other figures considering how poor the sales were. I guess they can afford to try with every new trilogy that comes. ;) I hope people have been buying these. I'd give my left nut to get that unreleased wave--the pics were fantastic! Every time I look at my shelf with my Lawgiver statue and the plethora apes I swapped heads on to make the line look larger than it was and see I'm missing Julius, Veska and Conquest (jumpsuit) orangutan it almost brings a tear to my eye. Had that line continued it may have even beaten my cherished Universal (Classic) Monsters for favorite toy line.
