NECA - General Thread

Something I noticed about the Christmas Carol Kermit:
The display piece at the con has an alternate head, but it’s not included in the preorder listing on their site.
Did they cut it and just forget to not put it out? Lol

Also, everything else that went up for order on Neca’s site appears to be BBTS except for the Muppets and Sesame Street stuff. What gives?
 
man, I want to like “Shogun Horror”, like I really like the idea behind the Bandai Movie Realization Samurai Star Wars and Marvel characters but wasn’t a big enough fan of either franchise to pay what they were asking for them, so Horror characters at NECA prices should be a slam dunk for me… but something about it just isn’t sitting right with me.

Like first the whole “Takatoku Toys” thing has a real “Akira Yoshisa” vibe to it (yeah, I know they’re a real defunct Japanese company, but that doesn’t make it better, it just means NECA is wearing a corpse’s skin)

Then… they’re all just movie Foot Soldiers. Like it kinda works with Ghostsface since he’s already a guy in a mask (and turning the Devil Ghostface mask into an Oni, easy and logical!) wearing a robe… but Leatherface and Jason fell lacking, like the fact they had to use the Foot Soldiers/Yoshi/Shredder base for build them held back what they could do (maybe they look better in final paint and production but the ones at the show were ROUGH)… like why Leatherface as a generic samurai? Why not a Sushi Chef with Geisha face paint?

I don’t know, at least the fact they’re all built on Foot Soldiers bodies means Dracula Shredder can finally have a horror themed army to fight the Monster Turtles
