NECA - General Thread

Guess I should have been stalking my Target more consistently. Got the last Sakai Leo and Raoph and the 2012 Feets this morning, all but emptying the display.

When I found mine the other day, it was on a back endcap right by the "NECA section" in electronics. It wasn't out on the main isles of toys, and I'd have likely missed it if I turned around in the other direction. I turned to leave and check toys when I stared right at it, hiding from the main isle.

They still haven't shown up in my neck of the woods, which means I'll end up ordering something online tomorrow and finding it in-store over the weekend.

Same here. Almost missed the display altogether. Only grabbed a Terrifier 2 Art the clown. Weirdly, mine was missing the syringe, but came with two scalpels. Not too concerned about missing the syringe, but thought it was odd.

I do like that the blood splatter is completely different than the Walmart exclusive version, and I like how the face plates have the eyes looking in different directions from the standard release. Gives a lot more options for display if you have more than one Art figure.

If they had Grandpa I would've only gotten Raph and Usagi from today's drop. These will be my 1st Turtles ever. I've been tempted before, but never bit. I read the original comics, but had a bit of (almost) disdain for them after the cartoon came out.

Was stoked to walk into a Target the other day and find like 4-5 of each figure. They had so many they were overstocked into the funko pop shelves. I picked up Art. He's cool. Not as nice as the WalMart bloody version, but still cool. Was tempted on Pennywise but ultimately passed as I cant see having both versions of modern Pennywise on display together.

Also, if anyone was like me and regretted passing on the regular Feral Predator from Prey - he's back in stock at BBTS. Hopefully this means he'll be showing back up at Target/Walmart, I really do prefer picking NECA figures out in person.

Woke up this morning at 6am without an alarm because between the McFarlane pre-orders, the Walmart Collector's Con and Haulathon my brain just knows I want to lose sleep for toys apparently. Seriously, I didn't set alarms for any of the early morning toy events this week but my brain still woke me up just in time for each one. And I am NOT an early riser by any stretch of the imagination.

So, since I was awake, I grabbed my phone all bleary-eyed and ordered the only two figures I wanted from today's drop, Usagi and Raph. I figured my local Target can go fly a kite, since I've been there 4 times this week with no luck. I'll just get those two and Super Grover later in the month when he drops online.

I had no plans to get all four Turtle boys. Just Usagi and Raph for my Sakai display, thanks. Secretly, I pined, but hey, I don't want to spend all that dough on all 5 figures PLUS Super Grover.

And then I ended up at Target later this afternoon. Just trying to stay cool in the heat wave that has hit the Bay Area this week, and Target has some nice free AC to enjoy. As always I thought, hey, might as well check out the toys. And there it was, an overflowing Haulathon endcap where Funko Pops had just stood mere days ago. They had 2-4 of everything, with extras jammed on the pegs and shelves of the regular NECA section. Grabbed up Super Grover with the quickness.

Then I made a fatal mistake. I looked at the Sakai Michelangelo. And then I looked at the Donatello. And then I was at the self checkout spending 167 dollars on toys when I had just spent 79 on the Target app this morning. Do I need all 4 Turtles from this sub-line? No, of course not. But do I need all 4 Turtles from this sub-line? Abso-fucking-lutely.

I definitely have a problem, but please don't send help.
