He did make it a point to say that's it for the toon line, so that door hasn't been completely shut yet. Though, if the toon line isn't continuing because of Mattel then I would assume the same is true for Archie since the designs are so similar. Could be they're also saving the final figure reveal for each subline of TMNT for later in the weekend.

My BFF also stressed Trevor stressing "Toon," which also sucks, as I really want Dregg, Mung, Hi-Tech, and Technogang army builders.

Tempestra is up at BBTS for $62 which makes her $1 cheaper there than via NECA when shipping is considered. Of course, you can spread out the shipping with the Pile of Loot feature and you don't have to pay upfront with BBTS. I'm guessing she'll pop up in other places too.

Man, what a legendary line Neca Toon was! I remember when they released the first SDCC set and how hard it was to get those. For years I stayed away because they were too difficult to get. And then finally in the last few years I have managed to get almost everything I wanted. Just in the last 2 days Target put back up the 4-pack color guide. That was one of my last big wants.
I am going to miss this so much. I want the Kitchen. So many people do. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that in 3-5 years Neca will be back in the game.
Mattel is starting from a place of pure hatred from me because no matter the quality of the stuff they decide to produce, it is coming at the sacrifice of Neca; not just Toon, but Archie (no standard Turtles?!), Last Ronin, movie line... such a heartbreak. I know Trevor specifically only mentioned Toon, but they're not showing ANYTHING else at SDCC, so it's pretty obviously cooked.
The writing was on the wall and everyone knew it was coming, but it's still something else to see Neca confirm it. RIP you beautiful creation.

My biggest problem with Mattel getting it will be if everyone else loses it (like NECA, if it is indeed the entire license and not "just Toon").
My second biggest problem with Mattel getting it is no more vintage reissues. Playmates may have boofed them plenty, but it was still nice reliving some of my childhood after losing my dad.
And even if Mattel can get the rights to the old molds & execute reissues better than those morons who constantly used the wrong stickers, not enough paint, or just leaving accessories out entirely, part of the nostalgia is that Playmates logo on the packaging. Making my own sticker to cover "Mattel" with "Playmates" wouldn't do as much for my mid-life crisis as them just coming with the PM logo...
