MVL Part Swaps

I would be SO stoked if Hasbro just did that. But -I- would really not be excited to do the requisite painting on the costume.
What body is that... Moon Knight?

I believe that is Phantom Rider.

How much painting is required outside of the emblem? He mainly just swapped the parts over from the older figure to a modern body.

Alt has it. He needs the emblem and the stripes, and I am not confident enough in my freehanding to be able to do -either- of those things very well. But damn.... it would be pretty nice to have a Shatterstar that poses decently.

Ahhh that's right! Little masking tape could help that!
I find, especially on dark colors on light colors, there's a really high chance of bleed. I'm also shit at making straight lines to begin with. If I were going to do something like this, I'd probably have to really plan it out, use painter's tape and hope I can get it around all the musculature so it doesn't get all fucked up.
I might actually have to do this eventually, though. I really doubt Hasbro is ever doing a second 1st App. Shatterstar (even though that's technically not what this is because Hasbro are cowards).

Help the colorblind guy out; do the whites of the chest/shoulder match the bicep/lower arm?

Felt like @Damien should see this.

That’s awesome, I was wondering what I’d do with my spare Moon Knight, will have to give it a go!

In the photos the local coloring of white has a faint piss yellow/sun damage tint but it's hard to tell if it's because of the lighting or potato cam.

But as a painter just looking at local coloring and shading, the bicep looks a diff off-white than the forearm and shoulder and buck. But it's very slight, and it may just be the photo on the right.

Bummer. Wonder if I'll notice it in person.
Guess I gotta buy a Phantom Rider and find out.

I passed it to my painter friend next to me and she agrees it has a tinge on the bicep that jumps out in the bounce light and shadows of each shot.

Will a sane person notice this on their shelf? I just returned my extra Spidey 2099 because the red spider logo had a pixel of a smear on the eye.

(I'm not sane.)

Mildly connected, but any ideas on custom potential for the new Mk72 Iron Man? I bought the set for Executioner expecting to be able to sell on the unwanted figures - Spidey and Wolverine sold, but I can’t shift that damn armour for any price.

Repainting as another IM armour is the obvious one, but I have no use for that either. If I could bash the figure into an old school bad guy that would be awesome, but I appreciate there are limits!

The Armor got reskinned in red and gold for a mini series and the design actually becomes not too bad! I still dislike that faceplate shape though. The proportions match the figure's much better already. I may pick up a cheap one and try the repaint myself, but I'm sure Hasbro will be all over this repaint.

On the flip side, I said that about the Stealth Model 70 and yet, here we are.. with no Stealth Model 70 figure.
