Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

I think my old playsets are in a box in the attic at the house I sold 11 years ago. Wish I'd left my World of Simpsons Playsets there too.

NECA’s stuff seems to be a little bigger than Palisades, but close enough. And yeah I have the DST figures, but they don’t compare to what Palisades did as far as I’m concerned. Going Palisades style/scale (mostly) was the right call for NECA.

Heh, think my Muppet Labs set was similarly abandoned - was doing last minute packing before a move and just couldn’t justify a whole extra box for that. Wish I’d been more organised…

I like that I can place the DST Muppets in photos with other figures (like NECA live action film characters) and they don't look odd. For that alone, I will love the DST figures.

However, I will be happy to have Muppets that are in scale with the NECA Sesame Street figures, so that'll be it's own display.

Is this just for the Sesame Street stuff or the Muppet Show, too? I thought Piggy had a 2027 release date Show, but I could be mistaken. I'm intrigued by the last sentence. I hope you know something we don't know.

Were Ernie and Bert initially released as part of Haulathon? I remember the Count was, but I forget if those two were. As much as the Haulathon Count release stressed me out- because I had to constantly check the app to be lucky enough to find it during the one of the random 5 minutes it became available, I would love there to be another surprise figure(s) coming out during the fall Haulathon. Fingers crossed for Biff and Sully!
 
Everything. Ernie and Bert showed up at the end of 2024 and weren't tied to an event. They seemed to hit Target first with a lot of specialty shops not getting them until well into 2025. NECA hasn't been participating in the summer and fall events at Target, which is fine by me.
 
For folks interested in filling in gaps in their Palisades and/or DST collections, Kenny Durkin (a Muppet fan artist) has created some 3d printed statues to fit with those lines. So far, he has Bobo, Thog, Doglion, and the Snowman with more characters planned. He has options for either scale and painted and unpainted. I got Bobo yesterday and super happy with it! He's making characters I think we won't see in the NECA line for a long time, if at all. Even though I hope to make customs of these characters, I'm planning to order some more because it will be a long time before I make them and these are great references, at the least.

@Bills all day, thank you for posting this! I’ve seen this guys work, but I didn’t know he had launched a store. I don’t think NECA will do a lot these in the current economic climate, especially the larger characters. I think I’m going to need some more space for Muppets…
