Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

Does anyone know what's up with the Count figure on the Target website for Haulathon? It shows up on the week 3 drops at the Haulathon website, but then I can't find it in the Target App when I click on the link.
I just realized that when I saw a week 3 summary posted online. I panicked thinking I had overlooked the Count but he was never put up on Target's site. Maybe a mistake on Target's part? I don't know if that means they will hold him for next week or if he will go up at some random time during the week now. I just know I'm impatient and don't want to wait for him to be in stock elsewhere.

I've been planning to wait for Count to show up at other online retailers, but I'm also impatient. Hopefully, it is available next Friday.

Apparently, Alliance pulled out from purchasing Diamond. I don't know what this means for DST. Maybe the backup bidder will now be buying them?

There is a link now but he isn't available yet, which makes me think he is going up at a random time. I turned on a notification for him.

Thank you for sharing the link! I turned on the notification, too.

I wonder what will happen to DST's Muppets line if NECA's parent company ends up being the one to purchase Diamond, which seems to be the case. I don't think the Disney license was part of the package when Alliance was supposed to be the buyer. I could be wrong, though. Would Ad Populum release figures under both companies? Is it possible for NECA to make updated Muppet figures that scale with the Palisades and their Sesame Street figures, while DST continues to make 1/10th scale Muppet figures? Or maybe DST's Muppets line ends because the license didn't transfer or NECA just want to focus on Muppet figures in their scale? Man, I need those Lew Zealand and Lips figures!

I really hope diamond gets to release at least some of their solicited figures before neca starts over. I'm really disappointed that the alliance deal didn't work out. Necas seseme Street stuff is great but the price prevents me from wanting more than a handful of them

I'm worried that these stupid tariffs may make the purchase of Diamond by Universal and Ad Populum fall through. I really hope it happens. The graphs posted in the tariffs thread that show roughly 50% of toy manufacturing SMEs thought their company was at risk of going out of business in the next few weeks or months because of the tariffs make me pessimistic about the whole industry, let alone a company already in bankruptcy.

Since I'm obsessed with the DST Muppets line, I definitely hope it continues for the figures solicited and beyond. After the six figures already shown, there are still at least six more characters I hope they make, plus Christmas Carol variants. That said, I would also be interested in getting a few updated Muppet figures that scale with the Palisades line. I don't want replacements for all characters, but a few of the early figures could use updates. Plus it be cool to get some of the characters Palisades never released. I wonder how the license would work if Ad Populum buys DST.

It likely depends on the way the license is written, but I believe in most cases, the contracts end when the original company ends, and new owners would need to renegotiate if the desire was there.

At this point, whoever can give me Statler and Waldorf again at a decent price- be it DST re-releasing theirs, or NECA making ones, I'm all for. As I slowly become them more and more with each passing day, I must have them on my shelf somehow.

The Statler and Waldorf set from DST is arguably the best set from the series. It's standalone, it includes everything needed, it's wall mountable, it's universally recognized and understood. If I could get only one set from DST, S&W would be it. I have it on my wall in my office, and it quietly judges me and my absurd collection.

I can hear them now:

"NORM? What's NORM-al about all this?"
"Maybe he meant Para-NORM-al!"
OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH

Wow, the Diamond bankruptcy is really ugly. I feel so bad for all the employees. The debtors filed for the bankruptcy to change from ch. 11 to ch. 7 liquidation. Although, it seems like AENT is still open to purchasing them, even though they claim Diamond withheld information about Wizards of the Coast canceling their agreement with Alliance Games. I don't know how interested Universal and Ad Populum are without WOTC. I assume the tariffs chaos isn't helping anything either. I really hope a purchase happens soon.

One of the comments in the below article gives a bit of the employee view. I'm wishing them all the best!

Looks like ad populum has Made the purchase https://toynewsi.com/168-57730

Hopefully this is good news for the Muppets lines
I hope it actually goes through! I was surprised the court approved it so quickly after the Alliance purchase fell through. I assume Alliance will continue to fight, since it seems like they are still interested in making the purchase.

I read somewhere that the sale is supposed to be finalized on May 14. I don't know if that's correct. I continue to wish the employees good luck! I assume this is a better option for most of them than ch. 7 that seemed very likely.
