Muppets (including The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock)

A classic Mokey and Gobo with in-scale Doozers are up for pre-order. Bbts also has basic versions of Red, Wembley, Gobo, and Boober for $20. I'm very excited BFS is making a classic Mokey. It's also cool there will be some in-scale Doozers. I don't really want another Gobo figure, but having those Doozers will be nice. I assume this is probably the end of the line because there probably aren't other characters that could support the required sales. It's great they are delivering a classic Mokey before the line ends!

I was wondering about the scale on the Doozers and writing as you posted. Kind of unfortunate if you had the previous Doozers, maybe they could at this scale do a Doozer multipack...

Yeah, I figure this might be all she wrote on the line, considering this wave is down to only 2 figures, with one of them a variant, essentially. I remember initially they spoke about doing deeper than the core cast, though times have changed. Maybe in a different economic climate we'll see something else trickle out. I am happy with what we got, but I'd pickup an in-scale Doozer pack, especially if it had some of their little vehicles and radish stick constructions.

I didn't realize they were doing basic rereleases. Reminds me of S7's deluxe line. Seems like they come with absolutely nothing besides the figure. Well, I hope it gets them some return on investment.

I ordered Mokey no hesitation. But another shot at Gobo would have been cool when I broke the first one I ordered from BBTS. The knee snapped when testing the joints and I wound up having to buy another to replace because I opened it long after receiving it. Maybe this new one is more sturdy.

I'm also very interested in the basic re-realeases as the overall cost of getting the entire cast combined with hearing about the fragility of the wave one figures turned me off of the line. I'm trying to figure out who had the least amount of/least essential accessories the first time around (aka which one am I missing out on the least by buying the basic "just the figure" version) any suggestions in regards to that? I'm thinking about Wembley because he's the only one who's original version is out of stock a bbts . Although if I only end up getting one gobo makes the most sense. Thoughts?

Edit: I decided for that price to go all in. While I definitely want to own the whole cast I don't need the extra heads and other accessories and honestly it is a significantly cheaper option which I like. I'll probably eventually end up ordering the classic Mokey to complete the cast . Maybe sprocket too because I'm more willing to get a few "deluxe" figures if I can get the rest of the characters for cheap. Besides their not coming out until 3rd quarter 2026 so I have plenty of time to cancel if I change my mind. Just to be clear the the 4$ flat rate shipping is per order not per item with bbts?

Yeah, BBTS is $4 per shipment not per item. They have been including a customized tariff charge per item charged at time of shipment, which was in flux based on whatever the hell Trump decided to do that day. But I'm not sure if that's still a thing.

Glad to hear though someones in for the $20 figures. Hard to decide which one is worth the deluxe because to be honest, the extra heads and accessories were a selling point for me. Gobo and his banjo is pretty cool, but Boober with laundry is hilarious.

Honestly boober was the already released "deluxe" I was considering the most 😅 I'll probably still get the "deluxe" classic Mokey because I don't know how well the basic re-realeases will do so I wouldn't count on her getting one( and even if she does get a re release it might be the back to the rock version instead.)

Don't get me wrong I love the extra accessories that came with the "deluxe" versions but honestly fraggle rock is in a weird place compared to the other Muppets properties for me where I grew up with it and I like it and if I had gotten one of the "deluxe" fraggles I would definitely want the rest but I'm also not so attached to them that I wouldn't mind the more basic ones. The initial cost is why Intitally I just bought the flange doozer "preview" figure as a stand alone item .

I also recall that when that doozer figure was released they talked about the future potential for in scale doozers so I think that lends credence to wave 3 being the end of the line. The in scale doozers plus classic Mokey feel like they were the last bits of "unfinished business" for the line.

I was hoping that silhouette was some kind of generic, army builder Fraggle (if that is a thing) and Doozers.

I wonder if these new basic figures will be more sturdy. I didn't have any of Wave 1 break, but Red's arms keep popping out, making it hard to pose her with her instruments. The basic releases are a great option if you want to utilize more the accessories (including alternate heads) that came with the original releases.

And on a related subject, NECA being so quiet about Sesame Street is making me nervous. They've shown a lot at this point, but there has not been a new preorder or release in months.

I'm hoping that the quality issues won't be as much of a thing with the re-realeases. Given that they are coming out late next year I think they might be.

Boss Fight has them on their site for sale, if you just want to look at the pics to decide who might be worth the basic figures.

Aprieciate the information but I think I'm going to stick with the basic ones especially since the classic Mokey is (probably) not getting a basic release so I'll have to buy the "deluxe" version to complete the main cast. Getting the rest of them for cheaper helps offset the cost of that in my mind. As for sprocket I'm probably going to see if I get an Amazon gift card for the holidays and maybe get it there. It's technically 2 dollars over retail but with free shipping so I'm still saving money compared to bbts.

If these Gobo and Red figures don't have the same fragility issues as the initial release, I'd be tempted to buy them to replace my figures. Mine haven't broken yet, but I think it's just a matter of time.

I wonder what is the hold up on the NECA Sesame Street figures. I've heard the licensor is picky about approving products. Maybe that's slowing things down? Maybe their releases are tied to Target's schedule? I hope NECA isn't slowing things down because of lower than expected sales. Unfortunately, I could definitely see the market not being there to support Sesame Street figures at the high Ultimates price point.

I'm worried because this long delay reminds me of DST. Folks were speculating NECA was in financial trouble when the Donny's Lair shipping issue happened. Man, I really hope that is not the case. I know the whole industry (and really the entire US economy) is struggling now. I just hope things are not that dire for NECA.

I am not worried about Sesame Street yet. They may have decided to pause a bit due to the tariff uncertainty - they could probably absorb the tariffs a bit easier without raising prices on figures put back into production, like the Universal Monsters, than a figure they also needed to recoup design and sculpt costs on. Target placed these in the collectibles section, they knew up front these weren't being marketed to kids so I doubt the price point is an issue.

If sales are lower than expected, I guess they might re-evaluate something like Herry Monster, but I can't believe sales would be so bad that they would think that Big Bird, Oscar, Grover and Cookie Monster wouldn't sell. I'd have to see some evidence that the figures were piling up and not selling and not seeing that.

Of course as you note, if the entire company is struggling that's a different story.

I was waiting on the Fraggle line, it is not my favorite property in the Henson world so was on the fence. But completing the main looks with Mokey and some Doozers in the right scale had me pre-order the new figures plus the basic Wembley and Red. Trying to decide on the others. The only figure with accessories I really would value was Boober - although the radishes with the first Mokey and Gobo would be nice...
