Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

Speaking of Wanted...

Here's the thing though... the Disney movie version is still based on the Marvel Comics property - so I still believe Hasbro would get right of first refusal.

Literally the characters, Hiro Baymax, Gogo Tomago all appear in the Marvel Comic alongside Sunfire and Silver Samurai. They team up with Alpha Flight, they fight the Crimson Cowl and Elektra. Later Wasabi-no-Ginger and Fred join the team along with Red Ronin. They fight Whiplash. They team up with Spider-Man and battle Doc Ock.

All I'm saying is the entire cast of the movie are Marvel Comics characters who have interacted with many Marvel heroes and villains. If you want Big Hero 6 figures... even movie versions - its probably got to he Hasbro.

As En Vogue says, I'm Never Gonna Get It, but...

Black Cauldron. Just that. Asian outlaw toymakers, please.

But if we're doing that, Treasure Planet and Atlantis.

Someone. Anyone. Make the leads and villains of Atlantis, in Mignola art style.

Secret of NIMH. If I had a little Mrs. Frisbee Brisby and Justin the Rat like NECA Mirage Splinter, I'd be so happy.

And... my very first anime experience "on my own" after I was onboarded was Bubblegum Crisis. And they've had figures. But hot girls in a rock band who all turn into Exo Suit Warriors is strangely slept on in our nerdy hobby. I don't want half-naked (full naked even) maids and bunnies and schoolgirls. I want leather jacketed, exo suited baddies.

And you can drop the exo suit and do Rally and Minnie May from Gunsmith Cats, too.

I never really personally had the chance to get into Bubblegum Crisis, but I second this in general. I have Lum and that's cool, but there's a lot of other characters that deserve a chance. Kaori Makimura comes to mind immediately. We have Ryo Saeba, he's a bit lonely without her. And the Cat's Eye girls. I'll hold my tongue for the most part, since even just ladies from OVAs and oldhead weirdo manga/anime could make an endless list. It'd be even worse with men, robots, and monsters.

If you want something that maybe scratches that itch and you're okay with a model kit that's a tad more tricky than your typical Bandai stuff, check out the Plamax kit of Anice Farm from Sonic Soldier Borgman. I'm maybe a bit biased, you can't even google or just watch the show without coming across me, but Plamax's kits have been great and Borgman is an immediate precursor to Bubblegum Crisis' setting and designs. Namely with the Phantom Swat and all that.

Yolopark's Shurato line may also scratch this kind of itch soon enough. It's more so Saint Seiya than your traditional power armor, but I still count it, and it's from the same cluster of creatives/shows. Renge is a character I've been waiting for for a while, and I wager they'll get to her fast.

I've been listening to the audio drama of Lord of the Rings so I'm in a particular mood. As much as I adore the films, I like to see other interpretations and with so many characters in the books that got passed over in the books. The Swan Knights, Wild Men, the different clans of orcs, the various men of the east, the remnants of the northern kingdom, I could go on. LOTR and the rest of the Toklien compendium could be such a deep deep line. 2055 needs to hurry up so it can be public domain.

Oh man, I just watched the original Bubblegum Crisis series for the first time. That was definitely a Where Has This Been All My Life? moment. Biker mech exo-suit girls in the Blade Runner future and the main character seems almost definitely meant to be Diane Lane from Streets of Fire - that's the most me-coded thing I've ever heard of.

Appreciate these recos, I'll take a look.

Yes! Totally Streets of Fire. Thank you.

Oh man, I had all the toys from Atlantis back in the day; still love that movie and all its lore- they went way harder than they needed to. Between all the different scales back then- the 6/7 inch, the 3 3/4 inch, and the micro stuff, it's crazy we never got all the characters. The main ones, sure, but there were only 5 of the larger figures, and while characters like Helga and Sweet got smaller figures, Audrey never got one (could fudge in her Happy Meal toy, but that's not ideal). I'd love for someone to tackle the license, but like you said- it's a long shot. Then again, we're getting 2 Funko Pops later this year, so there's still at least some interest!

That Hot Topic spin off store Lunch Box had a whole collection of clothes earlier this year. Gave me hope.
