Most Wanted 1/12 scale figures

80s HK action cinema is so good! Police Story is probably my favorite action movie of all time, but A Better Tomorrow is also really fun. I think City on Fire is great in its own right, but it's all the more interesting when you realize how much of that story Tarantino incorporated into Reservoir Dogs.

Wow! Fight choreography has really regressed. 😕
Also, not a single one of those looked familiar. I think there's a whole world of movies that have been hidden from me.
Japan and Indonesia are still doing incredible fight choreography. Those would be the first two countries I'd look into for modern stuff. I'd definitely check out the Baby Assassins films from Japan and Timo Tjahjanto's stuff for Indonesia (plus The Raid films if you haven't seen those yet). Furie and Furies from Vietnam were both really good too, but I need to dive into that scene more. The Telugu scene in India's generally got some good action, although it tends to be bigger and broader, so if you're into super intricate stuff it's probably not the right place. I would definitely check out RRR and the Pushpa films for a quick foothold, though. @TimesSqKungFu on social media and YouTube is an incredible resource for this stuff.

For the HK Girls with Guns era, highlights include Yes, Madam! (the first starring role for both Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock), Royal Warriors, Righting Wrongs, Magnificent Warriors, Iron Angels, Killer Angels, Princess Madam, She Shoots Straight, In the Line of Duty 3 and especially 4, A Serious Shock! Yes Madam, Dreaming the Reality, and my favorite action film of all time, Angel Terminators II (first one's good too, but they're not connected at all. Hong Kong'll do that sometimes).

Off the cuff wishlist:

Buffy
Proper John Wick/Ballerina line
Assassin's Creed protags
Metal Gear Solid series
FLCL
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Soul Calibur
Killer Instinct
Jet Set Radio (Future)
Yellowjackets (there was a time this would have happened in a dark Suncoast)

I think the first four are doable, and I think FLCL is a worthwhile pipe dream now that Evangelion is back in the fold with those Figuarts.

It's pretty cool Amazing Yamaguchi is giving me my Ninja Gaiden greatest loves.

Have we had a third party Shinobi/Joe Musashi? Goes right in with Spidey, Batman, Arnold, Rambo, Hulk, and Godzilla we already have.

How could I forget Soul Calibur! That was my favorite series for a while, played many hours. Each figure could get 3 to 4 of their unlockable weapons, not to mention all the outfit selections.

Since I just bought and started playing the new Shinobi game (it's great btw, even though I'm no longer int he stage of my life when I want to really master all the combat stuff), I came back here to say Joe Musashi in his white and red gear. I'd also take a Hotsuma from the Playstation game in the early 2000's though I'm probably the only person who recalls that one. Have to have a wired scarf for him though.

Yeah, I still think about that red scarf when I consider character design and action games. Amazing aesthetic and practical tool.

I think it's impossible since even Storm never touched it, but:

Guilty Gear

I need Millia Rage at least.

I always feel like my wants and needs are met...

But let's be honest, there is always something else.

-A Freakazoid line. No explanation necessary.

-A toon accurate Gargoyles line. NECA's are great. But they're not toon accurate, really. Think the DC Collectibles Batman Animated line.

-Capcom are fools for not allowing anyone to do a modern Resident Evil line. Needs to happen...

-That goes double for Rockstar. Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead, and hell...Bully would be so welcome.

-An all encompassing Metal Gear Solid series would rock my world. So undeniably overdue.

-This one is going to be left field, but I so badly want a Reno 911! line of figures. Probably one of if not my single most favorite show ever.
